Hopefully those lyrics were scrawled on toilet paper.

  2. CagedTiger says:

^^ Hahaha, I agree! When are these guys gonna call it a day though seriously? They haven’t released a decent album since the 90′s and are still pumping out weak watered down pop songs every month!

  3. Hailey says:

What the fuck are you talking about? Yeah, their songwriting is not as great, but it’s still good. Their last album wasn’t fabulous, but it was better than their 80s albums (other than Mother’s Milk). Their song structures are not as good without John Frusciante, but they’re still one of the good rock bands out there right now… They’re doing great. They’re just a little old.

  4. CagedTiger says:

Sorry Hailey, I disagree. I was a massive fan of RHCP back in the day, infact from 91 to 2000 they were my favourite band, I bought everything they put out, singles, albums, merchandise etc but when they came out with ‘By The Way’ that ended it for me. They just completely sold out to gain mainstream love, they tool their funk rock sound and made it more poppy and radio friendly. I reluctantly attended one of their concerts in 2003 and they played 2 songs from BSSM (Give it away and Under the Bridge) and the rest of the set was songs from Californication and By The Way, I was surrounded by teens who loved it but us few old school fans were left scratching our heads disappointed. It’s like they’re embarrassed of their past, it doesn’t make sense. Their best work is behind them and you can’t be serious satin their new stuff is better than ‘The Uplift Mofo Party Plan’? That album is awesome.

  5. Hailey says:

Eh, like what you like but I just love them from 1989 to when John left the best. I think the writing process for the rest of the band went better when he wrote the guitar parts I guess!

  6. Cobainsweater says:

Sorry, but “being old” doesn’t explain a lack of talent, nor has it ever. If anything, as they get older and wiser, they should become more creative. Not writing hippy-dippy bullshit like “A captain lost himself inside a 40 year old skull”

It’s sad that when they lose the burnout in the group, their musicianship declines. A band of their stature should be trying to outdo their best albums each and every time, not making albums that can’t even stand up to Mother’s Milk.

    These guys are a joke.

  7. Gus says:

^^^^ Yea man their true fans left a long time ago. All they have now are just a bunch of college kids who only recognize them from 99-present. I could appreciate Billy Corgan more than these guys.

  8. Cobainsweater says:

They should tour with the Pumpkins on the “Hacks of Alternative PAst” tour. The opening act can be Anthony Keidis and BillCo arguing about who should open for the other each night.

  9. Gus says:

While Bush plays in the background

  10. Badmotorfinger says:

I completly agree with Cobainsweater. There is huge of bands that continue to evolve with their sound such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and Nine Inch Nails. But RHCP continues the same bland poppy bullshit they have made since Californication. These guys have become the defiition of selling out. Instead of actually trying something new with their sound and pushing the envelope, they rather make 10,000 verisons of “Under the Bridge,” to appease to the Teenybopper crowd. I honestly don’t get why One Hot Minute gets a lot of hate, its much better than anything they did after that. These guys need to hang it up.

  11. Andrei says:

Are you all guys part of a moron club? It sure seems like it.
