Bio: Nicole Malczan is a freelance writer who gets paid to toil around with words and delve into many exciting topics. Of all of them, her favorite is rock music. Born in the late 80s (and on the same day as Eddie Vedder), she sadly missed the formative years of many of her favorite bands. This may explain her deep love of all things 90s. Fun facts: When she’s not writing, Nicole enjoys watching pro wrestling, shopping for cheap albums at her local record store, working on her novel, and spending far too much money on concerts. 3. Melonboy says:

Looks great, are Bush still any good without the original members though, or is it just Gavin?

  4. Alternadude says:

    @melonboy they were never good…

  5. GwynnKatie says:

The lineups each day are huge – and I mean huge, endless.

This second link is from an article today in Creative Loafing from The Charlotte Observer, tells all bands, venue, ticket prices & a brief history of the festival.

  6. Raj says:

Wicked, lucky people in North Carolina. I’ve seen Chris Cornell live three times, once with Audioslave, once solo, and a couple of years ago with Soundgarden. I’ve never seen Alice in Chains or Bush live but hopefully I can.

  8. Patrick says:

Us North Carolinians would be luckier if Pearl Jam would play here….

They haven’t been around in almost 10 years! And I think this is the first time Soundgarden as been here since their reunion.

  9. Cobainsweater says:

Oh no they didn’t just put Limp Bizkit before the almighty Deftones on that headlining bill…

  10. Curmudgeon says:

Two of the BUSH members are from the original lineup. And the guitarist joined while touring on the Golden State album in 2001 (about). Their recent album not as “grungy” as past but has some good songs.
No where near the caliber of Soundgarden or AIC.

  11. Horse says:

Uhm i didntk now where to put this put i heard from my buddy who works with soundgardens tour crew that they may release an unreleased track eventually (within this year) entitled as he recalled, “STRAFSTAETTERB”
It reminds me of that weird track from Badmotorfinger. Thanks.

  12. Todd says:

Yeah I don’t understand the Limp Bizkit thing at all, especially in the slot they have them. There’s several bands on both nights who have had more hits than they have. Strange.

  13. MMMM says:

Sg and Alice are headlining a lot of festivals together. They might aswell tour together

  14. Lennart says:

I hope they pull out “right turn”.

  15. GwynnKatie says:

Wish I might be able to work enough OT to pay for this road trip for my two kids and myself (tickets, motel room, gas, food, etc.)…
But it is not to be this time around. :::sighs::: Oh well.
