Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players will perform at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on February 13th. Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 4PM EST. This will be the supergroup’s third show, after performances in Los Angeles and Utah.  I’d really recommend for any New York readers to go, it’s a really special and unique show.

I hope the show is better than he movie!
I was really looking forward to the movie but it’s not all that great… The last half of the movie is Dave rehearsing 2 songs at his 606 studios. Kinda bummed actually. He coulda got a little deeper on most stuff instead of just glazing over it. Cancelled my hard copy purchase after I rented it from iTunes.

$104 a ticket? I have to pass. I would rather see AIC/Soundgarden in dirty Jersey for half the price. That’s a shame cus my wife and I really wanted to go.

100 bucks to see a great cast of rockers and possible special guest musicians in a small venue? not that bad.

@Jack, will there be extras on the DVD or B-Ray versions, like all the clips asking each artist about their first music experience, etc., or maybe more of the studio stuff from the 606 sessions?
