im really diggin it man, very bluesy and original! so where can i get it?

  • chris

its so strange how he sounds similar to his brother, especially the high notes. awesome stuff!

  • Eddy

These two tracks are awesome!! He sounds like a late 90s version of his younger brother. Damn, they should do some songs together!

  • Kimberly

Love the stuff he did with Black Market Radio. He does sound a lot like Chris but he’s a talented musician in his own right. I agree with Eddy, it would be pretty awesome if he worked on something with Chris!

  • Nicole Malczan

Wow, just wow. I’ve always loved Peter’s work, and this is no exception!

  • Rick

he had a band called Grace before BMR that put out a couple demo CDs. if anyone’s interested, i’ll put mp3s up somewhere.

  • Jake K.

^Was Grace any similar to BMR?

  • RAWR

love that he has a soundgarden shirt on in that pic, brotherly love i guess…
but awesome tune in its own.. great stuff

  • Eddy

Hey Rick, some mp3s of Grace would be great if you can do it.

  • Elle

Pete Cornell is awesome,he also sings with his sisters sometimes. The Cornell’s are a great musical family.

  • Dave

i saw him live in NY and met him afterwards about 10 years ago.. really nice guy and very good singer and guitar player.. he does sound like Chris a bit especially live

  • jt

Both sound really good, on Insides b-side at 2:32 he starts to sound very similar to Chris.

  • Raj

Pretty, and yeah he does sound similar to Chris for sure. Insides has alot elements of SG in it.

Peter is good but Chris is better. No disrespect of course to Peter’s music at all. I dig it. Very Seattle-Soundgarden esque.

Aged Scotch. Smooth. Liquid Voice. Irish Family Sound.
Nice. Did not know about him. Thank you.

  • lilrockable

Wow madman is really good. I can’t believe I’ve never heard stuff from him before. Is he working on a solo album ?

  • Ben

    @ lilrockable

Peter Cornell was in a band called Black Market Radio. You should check them out.
I was under the impressing that they had disbanded – however I may have been wrong or they may have just been on hiatus. They use to have a band website which is no longer online. However they have a band facebook page and this is where I found the link to the stream posted. So I assume that this is new music from his band BMR. It sounds like it is anyway.

  • Rick

Grace was quite a bit more tame than BMR — kinda alt-roots-rock, almost like Toad The Wet Sprocket or Counting Crows, music-wise.

    i’ll upload tonight.

  • Rick

both EPs/demos are selt-titled, so i tagged the second one as “II” just to avoid confusion:

    “Grace (1998)”

    “II (1999)”
