NINE INCH NAILS WILL REPORTEDLY HEADLINE LOLLAPALOOZA

Nine Inch Nails will perform at Lollapalooza in Chicago this summer, according to Billboard. Trent Reznor announced today that Nine Inch Nails are back and will be touring this summer/fall and in 2014. The new NIN lineup will consist of Trent Reznor, Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, and Ilan Rubin. It could be pretty awkward if Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell has any run ins with Avery, his ex-Jane’s Addiction bandmate. Nine Inch Nails and the original Jane’s Addiction lineup toured in 2009. Reznor also produced the recording sessions for the unreleased Jane’s Addiction song “Embrace the Darkness.” The sessions with Reznor were full of tension between Farrell and Avery, but Avery and Reznor became friends. Avery quit Jane’s Addiction following the band’s 2009/2010 tour dates.
