Flawless…Cornell is certainly firing on all cylinders these days, gotta love it…

    • Jilted Sad Sack

Rut Roh – it sounds like someone was jilted and is beside himself. You come off looking like an angry nut, dude. Go see a shrink or something. At any rate, man up and pull up by your bootstraps. What a simpering, self-pitying whimp.

  • Chris

You think the banjo guy knows Ty Cobb?

    • poptart

It would be awesome if they broke into Ty Cobb

  • Dave

Avett brother on the right there looks like fuckin Rasputin with that hair & beard like that. Wonder if he gets that from folks… Although in terms of actually mesmerizing people, hairy Avett falls badly short.

Great job from Chris, as always.

    • ejsme

Actually looks like if Ashton Kutcher was playing Rasputin in a movie.

  • Vitalogy

hahaha that guy kinda DOES look like Rasputin xD
That beard has got to be hell to manage.

  • Corndog

That was pretty good. Eddie is better though.

  • King Cornell

That was absolutely incredible. Greatest singer on the planet covering an amazing track by his buddies? Chris: Do a cover album already of your favorite tunes like Lanegan!

  • JON

AS AWESOME AS AN ARTIST AND SINGER AS CORNELL IS, I THINK IT WOULD BE COOL IF HE DID A BLUESY ACOUSTIC PROJECT. CHRIS CORNELL SINGS THE BLUES.

OR HE COULD JUST GET HOG WILD AND GIVE KIM A BANJO, AND BEN A STANDUP, AND MATT A BUCKET, AND CALL IT GRASSGARDEN. I THINK IT WOULD BE SO ORIGINAL, IT MIGHT JUST WORK. I MEAN, IF HE CAN DO SCREAM, IT SHOWS HE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR THE ART OF MUSIC.

WHO KNEW ABOUT THE HARP SKILLS?

  • Peace Frog

Looking forward to hearing Corduroy tonight.Fleet Foxes’ frontman Robin Pecknold will do the cover with special guests.

    Jimmy Fallon is so awesome.

  • the keeper

    Great performance!

JON, if you want to hear Chris do some blues check out his live versions of State Trooper by Springsteen. He does a very nice rendition and it is very bluesy. I actually like it just as much as the original

  • Spoonman

i thought the guitar playing was not good, did not do the song justice but i really dug chris. he is always amazing

  • hortense

too bad CC is married to that witch……i’d like to get him into the sack for a few minutes

  • drew

    i agree spoonman-
i dig cc, pj, and thought that tune he hid with the avett brotha’s last week was solid, but there’s a few things
very off with this performance if you ask me-

  • jon

@the keeper , i had never heard that one before…..right on, thanks. one smooth mofo

^^^ Leave it to the lawyers. (Besides, it bores the rest of us who want to discuss MUSIC.)

  • Thora Zine

Uhhhhh did someone forget their meds today….? Just askin’ ya know……………………………………

  • Dr Sanguinary

Actually, a haldol depot might be more appropriate ;)
    Ah ah ah ahhhhhhhhhh

  • Dr Sanguinary

Perhaps a stint in rehab would help the coke prob. That could be followed by chemical castration to decrease the sex drive. What. no sex drive? I see….

  • TooWeird

^^ makes no sense to anyone, so why not keep it private rather than posting it. Only thing people get out of it is someone doesn’t like CC’s wife. The Betty & Kevin thing makes zero sense tho.
