According to Alice In Chains’ official tour blog, AIC members Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney were recently interviewed by Mike McCready for Pearl Jam Radio backstage at the NOS Alive festival.

The Baldy wrote, “Mike McCready and I also shared a manly embrace before he stole Sean & Jerry and took them to his dressing room where he interviewed them for Pearl Jam’s channel on Sirius/XM.

Our final European festival of 2018 was filled with great music, good friends, multiple hugs, Jack White playing foosball in the dressing room compound, and Sean & Larry! taking pictures together in the festival photo booth.

It doesn’t get much better than that.”

Alice In Chains debuted Black Gives Way to Blue deep cut “When The Sun Rose Again” live at the Montreux Jazz Festival earlier this month. In the 9 years since the release of Black Gives Way to Blue, Alice In Chains had never performed the acoustic ballad live. The only tracks the band have not performed off the album are now “Private Hell” and “Take Her Out”.

There are several other songs in Alice In Chains’ catalog the band have never played live, including the final Layne Staley era songs from 1999 “Get Born Again” and “Died”. “Brush Away”, “Head Creeps” “Nothin’ Song” off of the band’s self-titled album have also never been performed. Most of the songs off of The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here have not been performed live.
