No story about the the new instagram challenge? For those of you who don’t know yet, the band is posted a 25 letter anagram on instagram. Solving it reveals the title of the new album.

  • kingchaz

Clutch, The Sword, maybe Device… only other bands worth catching.

  • ShaneC

Alice in Chains has released an anagram of their new album title.

    Looks like a long title:

    H V L E N T P S U S D A H I E E O E D T I U R R

    I have no idea.

How about “the devil put dinasours here” pretty random but thats what i got

  • Josh

New alice in chains album titled “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here” due out in May 2013.

  • GwynnKatie

Well now at least kingchaz has his answer…
YUMM, Josh — Good work guys! :D
Cool title — especially since cover of Hollow is a bird – thus a descendant of a dinosaur. Surprised that they are starting the tour prior to the record dropping.

So much the better for me if they end up fleshing out the tour between the UK in June and Rio in September, or in Autumn 2013…
Would love for them to do Thomas Wolfe in AVL or the US Cellular Center in AVL.

Me — I prefer to have the CD in-hand at least a month to six weeks prior to going to a show. I hate going and hearing new music I am not familiar with — but that’s just me…

    Peace

I’m planning on going to Carolina Rebellion to see Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Bush. I’ve seen GNR twice, SG once, Chris Cornell three times but never AIC or Bush. More 90’s bands concerts!

  • paulonious

    what a fucking horrible lineup.

  • GwynnKatie

Raj, Oh if you’ve never seen AIC live I hope you have a great trip and a wonderful time. They love their audience and they love to have people sing at them. I’m glad for you. Guess I am finally too old to stand all day in the heat, but most of all the roadblock to going is I just can’t afford the road trip for me + three or four, and I live only 2 hours away from CLT. After they post the set list in May, please come back and post on how it was please because I’d love to know. Still hoping they have room for an AVL booking on the second leg — but you know…? after all the years of literally praying for them to come back, record more records and experience love and success – perhaps in an infinitesimal way I have received exactly what I prayed for and they will never come to my small city again.

    Peace

I’m putting in my request for a concert with Alice in Chains, Cherri Bomb, Carta Immense, 5R6, Spacegoat, Stoned Jesus, and Black Country Communion, and some others, whoever else wants in to that lineup of bands that makes sense. Of course, these bands are all different and that’s great for me.

  • Raj

@GwynnKatie, thanks I was going to wait for them to come to Calgary but they haven’t played here in 21 years and even when they toured BGWTB they still didn’t come. So this could be my only chance to see them live. Yes, I will definitely come back to post how the show was.

  • 90’s Child

AIC and Big Wreck! Everyone should check Big Wreck out. Blowen Wide Open is there best

  • Todd

Guns N Roses broke up in 1994. That’s Axl’s solo band they do way more injustice to that name than Alice in Chains. At least there’s more than 1 original member in AIC. And yes, Big Wreck is probably the best band on that bill. Too bad they aren’t playing Carolina Rebellion instead of Papa Roach or Limp Bizkit.

There’s a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.

    Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder…
