Season 2 of legendary AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson’s ‘A Life On The Road’ television series recently kicked off, and Johnson discussed leaving the ‘Rock or Bust’ tour, which led to Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose replacing him for the remainder of the tour. Fans on the AC/DC Fans forum point out that Johnson said it was really the schedule that helped ‘finish’ him off.

putthefingeronyou posted, “I got round to watching Brian’s Life on the Road episode with Billy Joel last night. They were talking about Billy’s MSG residency / few shows a month. Brian then talked about the demands on ROB Tour at 3 gigs per week which finished him off.

Now a few years down the line and watching his thoughts on the demands of touring at his age I have officially given up any hope of the Vancouver gang hitting the road one last time.”

900 posted in response, “It seems a shame for your front-man to feel burned-out like that, and you could really hear how exhausted his voice was on the last two tours, as they progressed. A band so popular globally… they try to meet the demands, but it’s rough on the singer.

It feels like the momentum’s been lost. One could sense Brian wanted to grab the opportunity to get out there one more time, properly, make amends for what happened. But with more time passing, maybe you’re right and it won’t happen after all.”
