To mark the 12th anniversary of her wedding to her late husband, Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots singer Chester Bennington, Talinda Bennington has shared a photo of the couple’s wedding invitation.

She also recently shared a photo of herself, her children, and housekeeper Elizabeth in front of ‘Love Life homemade swag.’

She wrote, “Elizabeth is our housekeeper, she found her friend, her boss, our Chester. We are now family bonded through tragedy and love. Keep her in your prayers.”

Below is a holiday message from Talinda Bennington and 320 Changes Direction:

Our Reality

One in four people around the world have a diagnosable mental health condition – but the majority of those who are in emotional pain do not seek or receive care. Many of those who experience mental health challenges are not aware that there are effective treatments for the conditions that cause them to suffer.

Depression is the second leading cause of death among young people –  ages 15 – 29 years old – globally. And more people in the United States die each year by suicide than in car accidents. Half of all lifetime cases of mental disorders begin by age 14. Further, drug use is on the rise in this country and 23.5 million Americans are addicted to alcohol and/or drugs – which is approximately one in every 10 Americans over the age of 12.

The impact of this growing crisis is alarming.

We must devote the time and resources needed to change the way we think about, talk about and address our emotional well-being.

Our Solution

For more nearly 13 years, Give an Hour has provided confidential, free, and unlimited mental health services through our network of more than 7,000 volunteer, licensed mental health professionals. Our network has provided over $24 million in free mental health care to our veterans, active duty service members, and their families; averaging more than 2,417 hours given each month.

Give an Hour is also expanding its network of support to now provide free care to other populations in need including at risk youth, victims of human trafficking and survivors of gun violence.

In 2015, GAH launched the Campaign to Change Direction in order to change the culture around mental health.  A common language was developed to encourage everyone to recognize the signs of emotional suffering in themselves or those they love. We all know the signs of a heart attack – it’s time to learn the signs of emotional suffering that tell us someone needs our help. And just as it is important to recognize when someone is in emotional pain so that we know it is time to take action, it is equally important to learn basic habits that keep us emotionally healthy.
