CNN Parts Unknown host Anthony Bourdain tragically died by suicide on Friday in Paris. Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky wrote on Instagram, “Heartbroken that another bright light is out. My heart goes out to @anthonybourdain ‘s daughter, @asiaargento and his family.
‘As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you most of the time those marks — on your body or on your heart — are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.’ #anthonybourdain.”
Chris Cornell and Anthony Bourdain appeared together on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 19, 2017, just a few weeks before Cornell died by suicide. Cornell was performing “The Promise” with his Soundgarden bandmate Matt Cameron. A photo has now surfaced of Cornell, Bourdain, and Cameron backstage at the Tonight Show taping.
