Chris Cornell’s Family Open To Possible Tour?

A fan wrote to Toni Karayiannis on Instagram, “Is NY the only place you have something planned for? We are 14 hrs away, but totally considering a road trip to be there. Chris has meant so much to so many all over, myself included. My heart is with you all!”

Karayiannis responded, “Should we tour?? Why not ? He came to you right?? Why not now as representatives come to you also.”

Many fans have been holding Cornell tribute concerts to pay tribute to the legendary singer, and fans have been hoping for more to honor him. Cornell’s 12-year old daughter Toni is said to be a rising talent musically, with her father’s talent clearly running in the family. Vicky Cornell said in a new People Magazine article, “She got his ear.” She added, “She plays all of these instruments without any lessons.”

Toni made her on stage singing debut on October 19, 2015 on the Higher Truth tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York. She joined her father on stage to cover Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song.”

Cornell said at the show, “I’m from Seattle, but she’s a New York City girl.”

Toni’s sister Lily is also aspiring to be in the family business according to her Instagram page, which describes her as a ‘manager and musician.’

Cornell’s son Christopher’s interest in music has yet to be described to the press.

  • Allison Auld

“Should we tour?” Hoo-boy. I can see it now. “Chris Cornell Grief Tour 2017 – No Longer in This Lifetime” Toni can open with a rant in broken English about her “golden son”. A doctor (on Vicki’s payroll) can then come out and give a brief lecture on the dangers of Ativan. Young Toni can sing a few sad songs. Vicki can then do a fashion show with all her marvelous Birkin bags Chris’ money bought. For an extra $50, members of the audience can take a picture with Chris Jr. as he sits in the corner legitimately crying for his father. It’s funny yet not funny at all. This is some “Black Mirror” shit.

    • Melissa

Will the proceeds go directly to the Cornell foundation or will this be a tour for a new Hermes bag?

    • SurferGurl

Toni can also offer “Hug a Yia Yia” for $ 20.00. ChaCHING!!

      • Melissa

They had better hurry this tour up. The 15 minute clock is ticking! I think she needs to get back on twitter. That’s really her spot to shine.

        • SurferGurl

          😂😂

          • Melissa

Is it just me or does anyone else miss reading her rants? 👀🙈🙀

          • Sara Clu

She rants on IG and stalk pages from fans. Total joke.

          • Melissa

I’ve seen that. If you don’t buy the story that’s being sold she will bully you into submission. She actually claimed that her phone/computer (?) was sending messages to people without her knowledge.

          • SurferGurl

I misplaced my “Idiots Guide To Translating Greek Jibberish” so I wasn’t understanding them anyway.

          • Melissa

That was part of the fun! Wth is she saying??

          • Melissa Richard Schembri

Strangely addicting, ashamed to say…but sometimes you wonder how certain people get so far in life with the brains they carry.

          • Melissa

Just hitch your wagon onto someone else’s and let them pull you along.

        • Melody Migas

Not sure why she still has fans still defending her, too. It’s not like she can offer meet & greets with Chris anymore.

          • Melissa

I know, still sad that this happened to him. The truth will come out and make its way to the surface, it always does. Time will out everything.

          • Melissa

            It’s all very sad.

      • Allison Auld

        That’s a good one😀

      • Melissa

If Toni does the “Jesus Christ pose” and dives into the audience I’ll pay $25.

        • Leticia Cortez

          HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH oh god, the visual!

        • SurferGurl

I’d probably pay $100 for that.

          • Melissa

Tell you what, I’ll throw in an extra $100 if I get to push her into the audience.

        • Kay B

And no one catches her…..oops did I say that?

          • Olga Stewart

Kay B- I know that’s mean but I couldn’t help laughing/snorting at it. Ha ha!

      • Donna Jones

I’d pay 20 to slap her!!

        • rez

I’d pay 50 to spit on her

          • Kay B

I’ll pay 100$ to put her in the Kentucky Derby. Horsey McHorse Face.

    • Leticia Cortez

…but Peter Cornell is “self promoting”, therefore TK has felt it fine to bully and threaten him.

I also liked how they mention that Toni has inherited her dad’s ear and is very talented, and — as an aside — Lily, according to her social media page, calls herself a manager and musician, and “aspires” to be “in the family business”. What fucking manipulative bullshit. Poor Lily, relegated to “aspiring”, because she couldn’t possibly have inherited any talent, since she had a different mother — what the fucking fuck??

      • Melissa

I think they wanted him to shut up because he wasn’t buying the Ativan/addict spin and he wasn’t on board with that. Thus a betrayal to them. If I had to guess based on the wife’s spin, she’s planning a lawsuit based on the Ativan. It changed him so much that it caused his suicide. According to her he had been taking the meds for a year. Good luck with that!

      • rez

Now little Toni will be Yia Yia’s “Golden Child”, In other words, the one that they’re gonna push into a music career so they can keep up their lifestyle i.e. their meal ticket. The whole thing makes me sick. I wish this old hag would just go away already and take the wife with her.

        • Gearhead McGillicuddy

I was under the impression that Yia Yia was already making plans for little C to take over his Daddy’s “position” in the family (ie, the money-maker).

          • Kay B

I am worried as well. Vicky will also lie to them for the rest of their lives about what she really said in that last phone conversation.

          • ImSoTired

I believe you are absolutely right. 100%. Not that I think children should hear that at their age, but I think it’s unrealistic to think they can divert the story the way they are trying. Addiction/suicide is very different from a depression/suicide. Not sure what they are thinking by spinning it. Maybe PR spinning is just in their blood. Peter seemed to be heading in the right direction. They seem to be just worried about how they appear to his friends and fans. It appears her daughter and CC’s fans are yia yia’s only “friends”. How sad.

    • Maria Cabrera

This is the best comment I read !!. I’m dying to see a stand up for Yiayia.😨💩💩

    • foxymophandlemama

      lol!!!!!!!! best comment ever!

      • Allison Auld

        Gee, thanks😘

    • veyham1
  • DME

My side eye has shifted from the wretched mother-in-law to the mindless idiots who are buying her drivel.

  • Raj

Okay she’s really gone off the deep end. Bill get the tranquilizers ready, we need to put this one down now.

  • A J

    vile …

  • rez

This seems like a natural progression for this old hag. She obviously wanted to be his wife, not his mother in law, so hey, she’ll become Chris himself now and start touring the world. I’d bet that the reason Chris needed Ativan to begin with was because of her. I’d have panic attacks and anxiety if my mother in law acted so inappropriately towards me, too! She had some kind of a sick twisted obsession with Chris! She is sick in the head, and why doesn’t her daughter put her foot down and make this hag close her social media accounts and STFU? Go check yourself into a mental hospital, crazy lady!!

    • Gabi Sermoneta

I agree with you on the point that she sounds more like she had an obsession with him. Now that he is not around she is trying to steal the spot. The fact that this man was his son in law made her think she could shine of the same light. I believe she is a narcissist and since Chris ‘s death she is desperate to find a source of “love” and attention . These people are really toxic. She has managed to get the attention from audience , not sure she’ll succeed in getting love.

      • cornellismymuse

She is so narcissist she even managed to get our attention. And by “our” I mean the ones who don’t buy her bullshit.

    • Kay B

Let’s face it…..the more her and her mother run their mouths the more we really know why he did what he did. Let’s be honest.

      • MPK1967

        Yep.

  • Gabi Sermoneta

The question is who are these people asking her to tour? Fans ? maybe they need to have a reality check. I can’t see any of Chris real fans going to see this.

    • Maria Cabrera

Exact. To the true fans we are not interested in the nonsense of that lady and her family of mobsters. At most they aspire to become cheap reality TV stars.

    • Kay B

Agree, she just needs another means of cha-ching.

    • rez

No, of course not his real fans. This would be aimed at the wannabe Vickys who would love to have had her Birkin bags and her bi-coastal lifestyle. Yia Yia just wants to keep the money rolling in for all her nosejobs and facelifts.

  • Michael Chael

So we lose Chris Cornell and we’re left with these contemptible vultures giggling about some “tour”?

Can this narrative get any worse?

I wish I could say what I truly think about the W and MIL but I don’t want the FBI showing up at my door.

    • Gabi Sermoneta

Chris legacy for me ended with him passing. I will keep listening to the music that he gave us during his best years. I feel he left us a lot and we are lucky to have it.

      • Michael Chael

Staley, Cobain…their deaths did not bother me so much. Not that I didn’t care, but it was unemotional, and I did not shed a tear.

This time it bothers me. Too much.

I keep thinking of him in that bathroom, during those last minutes…alone…how superlatively rotten he had to have felt to do what he did.

Wondering now, if he could turn back time, retrospectively, would his choice have been different.

Maybe it would have. Maybe not.

Beyond a fantastic lyricist, no contemporary had vocals like Cornell. Not even remotely close, and there’s no one waiting in the wings. He was the heir to Robert Plant, the greatest rock vocalist of all time. And it selfishly pisses me off to no end that he’s gone. Forever.

The only reason I want to know what these “people” do with his legacy is so I can call them on it, and express my total disgust.

        Probably a waste of time.

        • Gabi Sermoneta

I know.. we have his music, he is not gone forever in a way. Best to celebrate his music and leave the rants aside:) We shall hope that people like Eddie Vedder or his band members will soon speak about him and give this man the credit that musically he truly deserves. In retrospect I wished he never reunited with Audioslave neither with Soundgarden. His solo tour was fantastic and thought that with age the solo performance suited him better, there was an intimacy to his work that was extremely beautiful.

          • Michael Chael

Agreed- he’s here for all time in the music he gave us.

I understand why you haven’t listened since.

I haven’t been able to listen to anything else.

          • Michael Chael

Yes- he’s here for all time in the music he gave us.

And I understand why you haven’t listened since.

I haven’t listened to anything else.

        • Frank Adragna

Michael you are not alone on this, you wrote here the same sense that I have on this. Even though I didnt personally know Chris I have a heavy sense of loss on this too, which i think says a lot about what he brought ,gave and left for the world. I am 3 months younger than Chris and feel we are the same generation, I also think that his songs fit into this time frame which is why so many of us out here feel left in his wake. I wont speculate about his life or what happened, but I will say this.
Thank you Chris for writing some of the most powerful and meaningful songs that play right into my soul you will forever be missed.
          Heavens Dead.

          • Michael Chael

            Frank,

I was 24 when Superunknown was released. I played that MFer so loud, so often…no doubt the neighbors hated me for it.

I love that album. I love the title track. I love Fell On Black Days. That record was and is the soundtrack to my life as a (relatively) young adult.

I’m just not used to feeling so bent out of shape over the death of a rock star.

But I don’t think he was just a rock star.

            He was something much greater.

      • overitbigtime

You’re onto something, actually. Boycotting and ignoring can speak volumes.

        • mypat623

I questioned years ago about buying tickets to his shows. I had been reading his MIL’s tweets for some time. After the bragging and showing off of all of the designer duds that she and wife and daughter were buy-ing, I some how thought that he needed to be doing all of these tours to keep money flowing in. I wondered about his foundation too. It was formed around the same time one of his/her housekeepers filed suit against them. Was it a PR stunt? Don’t know. I still bought tickets to his solo tour, (great) Soundgarden, and Temple of the Dog (spent too much from Stub Hub). . I even drove 2000 miles to see Soundgarden in Tuscaloosa AL on May 6, 2017. Mr. Cornell looked and sounded great, as did the rest of the band. I would boycott anything that family tries to produce.

          • overitbigtime

I hear you. I think he was treated like an ATM by those two.The MIL is just an awful person in every way. Bet you’re glad you saw the show on May 6, good for you. Did you know the foundation had been suspended for some time now? How was the Temple of the Dog show?

  • Cathy

Wow Lily really looks like her dad and mom. Toni looks a little like her dad and Christopher looks like his mom and MIL.

    • rez

I beg to differ on that. I think that Lily and Toni look alike around the eyes (shape), mouth and face shape. If you dyed Chris Jr’s hair brown, he’d look just like his dad.

      • Cathy

IMO, the boy has the exact same facial features and expression as the mother and MIL

      • Megyn White

I’m with you. I only see his dad in his face- from the downward turned eyes to the big red pouty lips. Any photo of CC when he was young with no facial hair is Chris Jr.

        • Cathy

          Sorry I’m not seeing it.

  • Corndog

She needs to start somewhere high because bullshit rolls downhill.

    • ImSoTired

      Response of the year!

  • Jekio

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! NO ONE SINGS LIKE CC, NOOO ONE! What a completely odd thing to even consider! SMH

  • MarioisGod

    “Should we tour?!?!?!?!?!”
Gotta keep the money rolling in I suppose. Tour, Multiple books and movie are all on the way.

    • Leticia Cortez

      ugh. 🙁

  • H Aspden

What does this grotesquely entitled parasite think? That thousands of fans are going to buy tickets to see her? She’s nothing, nothing but a leech trying to bask in reflected glory.

I lost all respect for Chris Cornell choosing to align himself with these people.
Their greed, attention seeking and grandiose behaviour really shamed him and showed him up.
He married into a family who wore fur, wasted disgusting amounts of his money on Hermes – a company notorious for animal cruelty and insisted on wasteful private jets to show off. Cornell CHOSE to indulge all that, while preaching about the Armenian genocide and sitting in a tent with refugees for publicity. He was right up there with Bono when it comes to hypocrisy.
And we haven’t even started on his dodgy foundation yet…..
People rant about Vicky and Toni but you all forget that Cornell CHOSE them, chose to live with them for 14 years and chose to exhibit that ghastly flashy lifestyle.
Cornell treated his first wife and daughter terribly. He wouldn’t even pay child support.
    He chose to do that.
Stop blaming the vile Greek pair for everything, maybe Cornell just found his soul mates and really was never the man his original fans thought he was.

    • cornellismymuse

I agree with you that Chris chose to be with these people. But how do you know he did not pay child support to Lily? Please let us know.

      • H Aspden

Susan had to take him to court when Lily was around five, because the child support wasn’t being paid. Cornell ended up being ordered to fork out around 18 grand. All very horrible because afterwards he became determined to financially destroy her to get back at her for sticking up for herself and her daughter. Susan is held quite dear to most of her clients, my husband is a mostly retired guitarist but said Susan was one of the loveliest and most honourable people he’d associated with. Strangely enough, one of the other nicest people he really values is Amy Durkoth who goes by the surname Decker these days.
That child support court case really was the point at which people took sides and the sympathy was very much with Susan, especially from Chris’s own siblings.

        • cornellismymuse

Thanks. I didn’t know that. I only knew about the horrible lawsuits regarding his guitars and Grammy awards.

          • H Aspden

No sign of court documents for the child support seem to be available, but Cornell suing Silver is online here http://cdn.digitalcity.com/ch_tmz/cornell051128.pdf

          • foxymophandlemama

i wish susan still had the guitars so lily could have them, they’ll be on the auction block soon enough.

          • H Aspden

No no, they won’t be on the auction block, Yia Yia is going to be playing them one by one on tour….Hermes are custom making her an alligator guitar strap as I write. It’s the bit where she has a meltdown and starts smashing them on stage we have to worry about.

          • Allison Auld

            Haha!

        • Lee

Wow. It’s almost like at the time, he was sorry he had a kid with Susan because shortly after, the breakup. Why would they have a kid in the middle of turbulence anyway? Did they believe a child may save the marriage? Susan seems like a very dignified woman, really sorry to hear, tho, that Chris ditched his first fam for the new one. Wonder what brought dad and DD together finally, if you kno, please reply, thx. I think Chris was extremely naïve, but like you suggested, may have been his nature all along. I could def tell from beloved album, DOTU, that there was a lot of tension, and negativity from the vibe of it and the lyrics. Chris was I think drinking heavily by then.

          • rez

they may have made an attempt at a reconciliation and during that time became pregnant. that happens all the time. I don’t think Chris held this against his daughter, but if the divorce was bitter, it probably made it hard for him to see her on a regular basis.

          • rez

Or maybe, Lily was a miracle baby. He and Susan were together for years, but no baby until the end of the marriage. They may have tried for years with no luck, but a brief reconciliation resulted in a baby. Maybe he really tried to make it work but it was just too late. He met Vicky and she was pregnant BEFORE their divorce was final in 2004. Then another baby in 2005. My bet is that he already felt guilty walking away from the first wife and child, perhaps he couldn’t bring himself to do it to the other two kids. Not to mention he had this old hag yapping in his ear on a daily basis about “family loyalty”. Those Kariyannis’ remind me of the Corleone family, once you’re in, the only way out is death.

          • Lee

Yea I certainly don’t doubt he felt terribly guilty, he made some mistakes. The man was not perfect, I totally think IMO, he went thru a Diva phase, why SG broke up, drank more and more, vented to Susan and it all caused a wedge bet. them. Then she got pregnant w/Lily. Then all this stuff after, meeting V, him OD’ing, her being there for him, bonded them. Starting new fam w/ her. Everything seemed to happen so fast! Career was ok, not great anymore. That certainly has an impact on someone’s esteem when their work suffers. That had to affect him. Then he just went along with new HW jet setting lifestyle. Maybe or not reluctantly, who knows? And it ended tragically. Look the man was no saint , but I honestly don’t think he was evil or vicious. Just human. Seeing all this BS media whoring from THEM, I think they always had their own agenda and are they are cruel ppl.

          • rez

Certainly not perfect. No one is. You could see how mismatched he and Vicky were. The premiere of The Promise, she’s dressed in an expensive dress, perfect hair and make up, and there’s Chris, un-groomed beard, hair in a bun, in a suit jacket that looked like he just pulled it out of the hamper. Two totally different types of people. She even mentioned that on his FB page, how he gave her a cheap band when he proposed but then bought her some designer ring eventually. Maybe he thought she saved him when he OD’d and that he owed her for the rest of his life. Maybe it was more about gratitude than love by the end of his life, who knows. The Kariyannis’ sure won’t ever tell us. Too busy milking a dead man for all he’s worth.

          • nomad

I’m fairly sure he said that Lily was an in vitro baby.

          • rez

          • rez

Thank you. Then she really was a miracle baby! And since both Chris and Susan gave genetic material to create her, then she must have really been wanted. The article is dated 2003, and I know that their divorce wasn’t final until 2004. Lily was born in 2000, so perhaps they just couldn’t get past their differences, even for her sake.

          • Megyn White

I read somewhere they thought having a baby would help the marriage from falling apart completely. Also read Susan didn’t conceive naturally.

yes, Lily was and invitro baby. someone yesterday sent me a link to where Chris says this. this is a snippet:

        • ImSoTired

Was it Chris’ idea not to pay child support, or was it his story-spinning, Birkin-bag-having wife and MIL who convinced him not to pay child support. I’m sorry, the guy I’ve watched and seen live over the last couple decades seemed to hold children in a different, innocent light. I can’t imagine with the work he did for the refugees and how he looked at his children when they were onstage and at the side of the stage would be the one to have the idea not to pay for his own child. I understand the divorce was acrimonious, however, please look at VK and MIL actions over the past 14 years. They have remained constant bullies, even back in 2003 (watch how Morgan gets bullied into saying she lied about facts that are actually accurate, then gets run out of town): https://www.google.com/search?q=fluttergirl.com+september+2003&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=fluttergirl.com+september+2003+chris+cornell

    • foxymophandlemama

      good points.

    • Gabi Sermoneta

I agree with you on the point that he chose them . At least he chose Vicky, not sure he was aware of the omnipresent obsessive MiL at the very start. The fact that he chose them should maybe prevent people from thinking and portraying him as a “poor”victim of this family. We should give him some credit. He made his choices and for 14 years he endured those choices. I am not sure he was not the man his original fans thought he was. Though not a big fan of his latest “Hollywood “work, his lyrics as much as his live performances (especially his solo tour) speak volume. I never thought he was a different man when I saw him performing during the “Higher Truth” tour.

    • ImSoTired

I wouldn’t say he has no responsibility, but con artists can sneak up on you by saying everything you want to hear, especially if you’re going through a difficult and vulnerable time. Maybe like rehab, a divorce and changing bands. Wouldn’t that be an extremely vulnerable place to be? It would be for me anyway. Con artists can take you down quickly and you can’t figure out how to get out of it, so you just humour them so they cause the least amount of damage as possible. I know, I was with one. If they are good at what they do, they can have you wrapped for years.

      • Cathy

He definitely had blinders on when he met her!

  • azur Rienne

This is beyond disgusting. I always disliked Vicki after being backstage and watching her not even clap for Chris at shows, just look bored until he left the stage and she could stand there for an hour taking selfies and hobnobbing. She is a deranged, gold digging narcissist and she ran this beautiful, divine man into his grave. If I were her, and I thought my words made him do this, I’d be too unhinged by guilt and grief to get out of bed let alone giddily planning to take over his fame for him. I’m so sorry, Chris, you deserved better!

    • Kay B

If she would have been paying attention to his music instead of being bored, she could have seen how this was going to end. His music was very telling. And now this female dog wants to blame everything but herself.

    • Gearhead McGillicuddy

You just described her to a tee. Was she actually ON the phone with him when he committed suicide?

  • John Russelman

I blame Chris for this, he was always a big pussy, I hope lily, Toni and the son do well and live a good life, they should have some money left after Vicky fixes up her Manhattan apartment…

    • Leticia Cortez

I have to painfully agree here, in the sense that he is at least 50% responsible for this shitty situation. I have no idea how far into denial he must have been to just throw caution to the wind and close his eyes to all of the extremely obvious signs of Selfish Cunt-ism in this woman.

      • veyham1

Here is the cold hard reality. Another rich man got hoodwinked and played by a controlling manipulative gold digging woman. This happens every day in rich man land. John is correct. Chris made the bed he laid in day in and day out. He could have stood up for himself and said #nomorebullshit in year one of their co-dependent relationship. Maybe he had low self-esteem and was desperate to be loved and needed and she played into that weakness at the right time (post rehab all time low). There are A LOT of guys in this boat that aren’t aware enough to see it happening right before there very eyes. I know scores of guys that always need to be in a relationship and would rather die than be alone. He seems like he fit that bill as well. I know that the celebrity life is a very lonely world. Everyone is out to fuk you and has wrong motivations. So “feeling” like you found someone who had your back and also would handle management and publicity like Susan was the perfect rebound for him. It’s obvious that their relationship over the past two to three years had probably been on the rocks. I mean every song on higher truth points to that reality. She can post all the BS happy pics which is really overcompensating and giving it away even more that they were probably headed for splitsville (a lot of forums confirming this as a fact). All I know is this FACT. Everyone on planet earth including his family said there were ZERO signs of this coming. To this very day THEY are refuting it was a suicide. She said they had a phone call around 11:35 p.m. that night. She said it didn’t go well and changed that story ( the content of the call) over 3 times now (what really transpired on that call?). This was after a few minutes of him allegedly BEING GIVEN 2 Ativans by his Bodyguard. Is the bodyguard a doctor as well? Why didn’t Chris give himself his own Ativans? Is the BG now going to be responsible since he administered the Ativans? Michael Jackson’s doctor was held responsible. So he takes two Ativans, has a short phone call that didn’t go well, and then within minutes gathers his homemade hanging kit, locks the doors, and offs himself? Again, seems like something was said on that call that pushed him over the edge or someone else broke his ribs, choked him out and then strangled him to make it look like a suicide. What I would give for a transcript of that phone call. Oh buddy what I would give. BUT, all this being said, Chris made that bed. Every man should learn from this and do not repeat.

  • dbeecooks

    Oh yuck, how awful……………..

  • Jen Dean

oh please. stop. stop giving voice to this nonsense. Let Chris rest in peace. No dog and pony shows of his kids, PLEASE! Start a career ON YOUR OWN. Quit trying to milk money from Chris even when he’s gone.

  • Sara Clu

This is beyond surreal. Not only content with taking over his official accounts, sharing private notes supposedly from him, ranting and intimidating fans…Wow.

  • Lee

Toni and Vicky, so self serving and unfeeling bitches. Sad for the kids, really sad, but they will be brainwashed that this is the right thing that their family is doing. Makes me sick.

  • foxymophandlemama

i wish susan still had those guitars so lily could have them, they’ll be on the auction block soon enough….

    • Kay B

Look how she treats that poor kid. You never see any photos of the kid until she has a birthday last week.

      • foxymophandlemama

i just really hope lily gets a lot of her fathers personal items. we shall see.

        • Kay B

I honestly doubt it. Vicky will sell his belongings for profit.

        • rez

Unless he specifically willed things to the kids or set up trusts, everything belongs to Vicky. That’s the law. Estates are determined by their sequence of descendants- Wife is #1, then children, then parents, then siblings. Children have no rights to the estate unless their surviving parent dies.

For instance:Note the Cobain estate, where money was put in trust for Frances once she reached age of majority. But, also remember that Courtney borrowed money from France’s trust, and Frances had to go to court to become the overseer of the Cobain estate until Courtney paid the money back to the trust.

          • foxymophandlemama

            uggg, what a mess.

          • rez

Yep. I disrespectfully disagree with the lyrics :it wouldn’t pain me more to bury you rich, than to bury you poor. It’s much better in the long run to have no estate than to have a big one.

          • foxymophandlemama

wow, i keep singing those exact lyrics. at least i heard he was just renting the miami property, at 30,000 a month!!!!! i doubt his ex will keep up with that.

          • Melody Migas

I thought I read somewhere that Susan got 50% of any of his future profits from Soundgarden albums that were done previously during their marriage. I hope so.

          • rez

I’m sure she did, however, since everyone rips music for free from the internet these days, I doubt it was a very profitable bargain. I know they did remasters of both Superunknown and Badmotorfinger, but they only released limited copies of the actual tangible CDs.

      • rez

Did you see the Tweet from Toni where she said that Lily didn’t want to leave their house after Chris died, she was concerned that she would lose contact with her brother and sister. Where would a 16 year old get the impression that she was gonna be pushed out of her siblings lives? Makes you wonder what kind of arguments she overheard between Chris and Vicky to make her even think that was a possibility. Poor girl.

        • Kay B

She got that impression because I am sure Vicky kept Chris away from her just like the rest of his family. After all, she is someone else’s offspring. You see very little photos of Lily and Chris. As well as little photos of Chris and his siblings or his mother. So it would make perfect sense she would be nervous about a situation like this.

          • rez

I’m sure that she was very possessive in the beginning with Chris. I heard it was her idea to sue Susan for $1M of royalties from Soundgarden that he claimed were mismanaged. Just like all bitter divorces, the dust settles and things go into some semblance of normalcy for the kids. My bet is that Lily most likely demanded to see her dad once she became a pre-teen or teenager, so he obliged and Vicky could no longer keep that wedge in place. My bet is that there were arguments between the couple, he would threaten to leave, or she would threaten to leave and take the kids. I’m sure the idea about him and Lily never seeing the kids again was thrown around on more than one occasion.

          • Kay B

I agree. If Vicky would have been listening to his songs she would have caught on how toxic she is. Higher Truth speaks volumes on how he felt about her. She wants to know why there was no note? Well Vicky, if I had gotten into a huge argument on the phone with my wife and she was accusing me of relapse and threatening to take the kids away I wouldn’t leave a note either. This is what I think happened.

          • Cathy

Listen to his cover of Ticket to Ride at the Troubadour. He changes the lyrics at the end and he’s most definitely singing about VK in an emotionally raw performance that I’ve never seen from him before. He leaves the stage abruptly and appears to be upset.

          • Gearhead McGillicuddy

Not trying to be argumentative, just want to give you a different perspective. I was at the Troubadour show 1/29/2010 at the front. While I agree he likely wrote the alternate lyrics about VC, he didn’t get overly emotional and the the stage. He left in a rush so that he would make it up to the VIP room where his family was. He wanted to make sure the guitar was still in reverb by the time he made if off the stage and up the stairs. It was most definitely for artistic affect. Still, bottom line is that I believe she was actually on the phone or face time with her when he committed suicide (as the final autopsy concluded). How horrifying. I feel most sorry for the 2 children in the house with a family that seems to care more about fame and how they are perceived by strangers than the death of an incredible artist and dedicated philanthropist. RIP Chris Cornell, you will be missed.

          • Gabi Sermoneta

Thank you for clarifying the info. How did you get that he ran to the VIP? I just watched that video and actually his voice and interpretation of the song gives goose bumps.. What a great night that must have been.

          • ImSoTired

What other ppl said is absolutely correct. He had a bunch of buddies there that night like Slash, Tom Hanks and his wife, etc… He was very playful that night and seemed like he was in his element. I didn’t even think about the connection between Tom’s wife, Rita and Chris’ dear friend Ann Wilson until I read the article where Ann said CC looked like “a trapped dog” when she last saw him. To me that is hitting the nail on the head for how he’d been feeling. It’s all a little to close. I personally think he was getting out his feelings through his songs and the wording of the covers he was choosing. I believe when he would fall in love, he would fall hard, and VK took advantage and then controlled the narrative as much as she possibly could. He didn’t run upstairs into the regular VIP area. He ran offstage (his right/our left), up the stairs and into the “VIP room” where his family was. Slash and all his other buddies were upstairs in the opposite direction. I know all of this bc I saw it with my own eyes. His family watched from a couple different spots, and his wife sat on the stairs (that he ran up at the end) for awhile, then he said something cute to embarass her and she ran up the stairs giggling. I can’t divulge who I heard from that VK was actually ON the phone w/him when he started to commit suicide. That would be a bad move that would get a lot of people in trouble. VK is already likely to come at me for divulging this info, so I’m ready to disappear as well. As long as ppl see it before it either gets deleted or the bully me into deleting it, I’m good. I just hope someone looks into it further that has the means. I’m not sure why she’s hiding it and how she thinks something like this will get buried. It may not come out soon bc people don’t want to get sued, but the truth will eventually prevail.

          • Gabi Sermoneta

OK, i was just curious about the night of the performance:) I am not into speculating the circumstances of his suicide. There is too much that is being said right now. Eventually the truth, if different than what we know, will come out .

          • ImSoTired

To answer your question, it was an incredible show, and he looked like he was having an absolute ball, as if he was having band practice with his buddies. One of my favorite CC shows I’ve ever seen. Yes, the truth will eventually come out, no matter how hard that family tries to block and tackle.

          • Gabi Sermoneta

Thanks. By the way, the thing that Ann Wilson says about him being “trapped”, refers simply to the fact that Chris was a person that did not like big crowds , he was kinda “introvert” , so for him to be surrounded by all these people was a bit too much. He felt trapped in that situation as much as Ann Wilson did. Read the whole interview on Billboard (not just that line out of context that AN has published). You will get the best portrait of the type of person he was. I loved it . Ann Wilson from Heart has written about him , cannot remember where, if I find the link I will post it.

          • ImSoTired

I get that, I just think it’s interesting that she used those words to describe his frame of mind. He seemed to feel like he was trapped in all areas of his life most recently, if not for most of his life. His suicide would support that theory.

          • foxymophandlemama

not arguing at all but i thought slash was on tour? just curious.

          • ImSoTired

I’ll reply to you again since my comment might be in ANs pergatory for awhile. Sorry if it’s a double-post, but here’s what I replied to you (AN, please let me know what the issue with my post is and I’ll delete that portion of it. Thanks):

This was years ago, but that K family’s way of dealing with the truth,
by bullying and lawsuits (using CC’s hard-earned money), hasn’t changed a
            bit.

          • Gabi Sermoneta

Though I am not doubting what is happening to your posts bare in mind that some post get deleted or considered spam if you edit too much or re-post or are too long. That being said, I guess since the post of MiL was taken down as per request of K representative, the whole attitude of this platform has changed. Many of the so called”moderators” (for what is worth) have been very silent or disappeared from discussion. AN got scolded or at least might risk a law suit. Not sure one can copy/paste content of social media personal accounts to turn it into news… This platform has been capitalizing as well on C. death. Most of the discussions here have become an insult to CC name, with many people projecting their own personal stories onto this man ‘s life. I will distance myself as well but for different reasons. I don’t like the K. attitude not to mention the way his wife is handling this tragedy but I guess some of CC fans are not doing better than her. I have not checked your link because I am not interested in speculating about the circumstances of CC life/death. Not by these means anyway. The site you are referencing is very little credible and I guess there s a lot of crap said about this man which I find offensive to say the least. All this is not adding anything to the truth. It is just turning this whole story into a collective rant.

          • ImSoTired

Points taken and heard, and thanks for your insights. I absolutely believe what I was told, and I think it changes his entire story. You don’t need to let me know you’re not going to click the link. Just don’t click it. We can agree to disagree on things, that’s ok. You may feel I’m ranting when I add what I’ve learned. You don’t want to know the circumstances of his death and how it’s told. I, however, do, and some other people may be interested. You want to gossip more about TK and MIL, and that’s your right. I want to get to the truth so Chris didn’t spend the better part of 30 years telling us his story only to have someone other than him try and twist it. No one is demanding that you stay and continue to read the comments. You could have just gone. I don’t think anyone would have noticed. 🙂

          • Cathy

Thank you for your first hand account of the show. I guess you had to be there. As far as the night he killed himself, that would be horrifying to say the least if he live streamed it. Makes sense now why he wanted his compute fixed. I do feel for all the children.

          • ImSoTired

I don’t know if he live streamed it or was just on the line. He just said he was on the phone with her when he did it.

          • Kay B

Where did you hear he was on the phone while committing suicide?

          • ImSoTired

From someone who was friends with CC. His words, not mine.

          • rez

I saw that video. What year was it from?

          • Gabi Sermoneta

I saw CC in 2016 in Paris at Trianon. He performed “Josephine” which on stage he dedicated to his wife. (for whom he originally wrote it ) He sounded genuine and it was one of the most beautiful act during the performance for me. I am not sure you can fake feelings.

            https://livenation.vice.com/en_us/article/chris-cornell-josephine-backstory

          • Gearhead McGillicuddy

I think, oddly, he was head over heals for her. I think she took advantage of those feelings while he was still in divorce mode. It’s beyond sad.

          • Kay B

There is no doubt he loved her. But I’m sure it wasn’t all rainbows. I’m sure she kept it over his head every time he did something she didn’t like. Look how happy they look here.
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDcMnFUWsxM

          • Olga Stewart

Yeah, the happiness seems to be overflowing.

            Not.

          • Megyn White

            His note was his music.

          • Gearhead McGillicuddy

            ^ exactly.

          • ImSoTired

Yes, threatening to leave and take the kids. That. Likely any time she didn’t get her way or needed more leverage.

    • Cathy

I think he and Susan were more compatible.

  • bp

Dont buy into their self serving narcissitic bs or buy any of the tabloids that wife gives interviews to. its absolutely ridiculous she is blaming his death on addiction as well. He has done plenty of interviews admitting his battle with depression. Addiction did not kill him his depression and anxiety did. Its tough to walk in those shoes. He really came from a simpler place and I think the greed machine finally did him in.

    • Kay B

Very true. He seemed like an incredible simple man with an incredible talent.

    • Gearhead McGillicuddy

      Yep.

    • ImSoTired

I think you are absolutely correct. I would add to the depression and anxiety a heated argument that made him have enough anger to go through with it. I think had there not been a real trigger that night, he would have waited out his feelings and kept going (even if just for his wonderful children). The greed machine did indeed do him in ultimately. Good call.

  • Silly People

Chris seemed like a really private guy. His social media accounts were all very business minded, just promotional tools- at least until his wife hijacked them all after his death. He posted family photos once and awhile but otherwise, he doesn’t share much about his private life. Just his work. Now his mother-in-law and wife can’t stop talking to the press. It’s a shame they don’t respect his right to privacy or his children’s right to privacy. This just makes me all the more sad for him.

    • Gabi Sermoneta

Indeed. It is a shame also that many fans, caught in this MiL rant, are not respecting that privacy, speculating about their marriage and his private life, his children, judging his choices and the direction he took in his life. Just falling for the People magazine audience.. I am afraid. He shared his music with us not his existence.

  • foxymophandlemama

this may be off subject but i find it strange-ish that he grew up in seattle, HE WAS SEATTLE, then moved to Paris, Beverly Hills, New York then Miami, all the way across the map! seclusion to say the least… who’s idea that was.

    • rez

I heard him say in an interview that he loved Paris. Maybe he could walk around and not be bothered by fans there. NY is Vicky’s home town. Beverly Hills was probably Vicky’s idea, to keep him in a Hollywood A-list loop. Not sure about Miami, I have seen hundreds of paparazzi pics of him and his family there.

      • Melissa

Btw, that Paris restaurant/bar that they liked to brag about was a flop. I think I read that it shut doors in 2015. Bad reviews all the way around. I get the impression that part of that camp was show offs and show boaters and part of that doesn’t sell well, no matter how you spin the pr camp.

    • ImSoTired

^ if this is the same foxymophandlemama from youtube, you’re channel is very good!

      • foxymophandlemama

awww, I’m sorry i can’t take credit for that.

  • nomad

While the thought of a Cornell Merry Widow tour sounds horrifying, I’m taking this as an off-the-cuff remark from the MIL. She probably just wants to keep a dialogue going with her adoring fans.

    • ImSoTired

Yeah, can’t imagine she’s serious. Her grooming and sending little C on the road as soon as he’s old enough to get back their meal ticket, that I can believe.

  • Cathy

Getting creative as far as more ways to make money off Chris! Why don’t they just sell their Birkin bags? From photos I’ve seen they each have a different bag in every picture. Those bags are worth at least $50k each. Some are 6 figures! Chris was working his ass off so they could keep buying purses, pathetic!

  • Lucky Neko

This is one woman though, who makes Eddie Vedder feel and be like a coward. He cannot even speak against her.

    • rez

If he even knows of her Twitter rants. My bet is that Eddie is just doing Eddie, and haters be damned. Toni and Vicky only wanted him at the funeral so that it would further their new financial ventures, which will either be a reality show, book, or God forbid; a Chris Cornell memorial tour. They obviously didn’t like him because he was another person in Chris’ life that they wanted kept at a distance from him.

    • Gearhead McGillicuddy

Perhaps he’s trying to be the bigger person and wants to do what he feels is most compassionate for the children.

      • Olga Stewart

ImSoTired- That sounds more like it, where Eddie is concerned.

    • Donna Jones

That’s because he has more dignity in his little finger than she has in her whole body, he wouldn’t drop to her standards to get involved in her bitterness. After all he is Eddie Vedder and who is she? It’s not cowardice, it’s respect. She clearly needs to be sectioned……..

    • Megyn White

It’s not that he can’t. I am assuming he just refused to lower himself to her level. It shows who truly is the “peasant” in this situation.

I also assume most of his old friends, bandmates and birth family know the score with these women. This just happens to be playing out very publicly. But with every new statement, tweet, interview, etc, they are just digging a deeper and deeper hole for themselves.

      • Kay B

        I agree with you Megyn.

  • MPK1967

This concept and article gave me a stomach ache! Really grossed out right now.

  • Olga Stewart

Where do I even start in regards to how wrong this is?

    Man, oh man! :(.

  • ImSoTired

If everyone wants to truly see how this family operates, take a look at this site and pay attention to Morgan’s insights and how at the end she gets bullied away (I mean AWAY). Who have we seen bullying a lot this month? http://www.fluttergirl.com/journal/archives/00000330.html

  • MPK1967
    • ImSoTired

      Not murder. Suicide.

      • MPK1967
        • ImSoTired

From the EMT trying to save him by doing aggressive CPR. The same reason he has Narcan in his system. Bro, stop the conspiracy theories; people want to hear the truth, not a money-making endeavor. He committed suicide, just like the official report said. They were arguing before the show, he wanted to continue it after the show, she wouldn’t answer the phone, he turned the lights on and off, he got her on the phone, the argument got more heated, and between the issues he had at the show and his gold-digging wife, he wanted to take her down with him. We may not like it, but it’s accurate. #nomorebullshit

        • ImSoTired

Since my other comment got deleted, I’ll try to be nicer. Your opinions and website are that of a typical conspiracy-theorist rant. This was not murder. It was suicide. Read the official reports. He didn’t hide that he had issues with depression and anxiety. He not only spoke about it in interviews, but pain-stakingly wrote many songs about his feelings. Please don’t mock his death by painting this illogical nonsense. Yes, you have a right to your opinion. I think leading everyone down this road is silly and nonsensical. You must see that. He committed suicide to get away from his internal struggles during what seemed to be a very contentious, difficult time. I don’t condone how he did it, but it’s his choice. Please stop making a mockery of it.

          • Cathy

I’m sure my comment will get deleted too. One already was as I can’t find it now. I’m now 100% confident he committed suicide and VK knows as she was on the phone when he did it, that’s why she had his hotel room doors kicked in by the BG. The police know it too! #nomorebullshit. LSA has all the details. Fortunately she couldn’t/can’t access his Twitter account.

          • ImSoTired

He definitely committed suicide. The police and ME are not going to get themselves in deep by doing the spin job the Ks are doing. Plain and simple, he committed suicide. He may have been on the road to full-blown addiction, we’ll never know. He committed suicide because he gave up trying to be happy and not succeeding. Whatever was going on between those two was the final straw that triggered it. Thank goodness she can’t mess up his twitter feed like she’s screwed up all his other social media accounts. Nothing like trying to tell your story, only to have it hijacked by the same woman that helped bring you down.

          • Melissa

            Datalounge.com

          • Cathy

At least we still have his music. I saw him years ago with Audioslave in Atlantic City. Such a great performance and he looked so good at the time. Great voice and onstage presence!

  • ImSoTired

This tells a very compelling story. Watch for Morgan’s inside info, then she gets bullied out of town (and this was way back in 2003, so again, seems like this marriage was a struggle from the get-go): http://www.fluttergirl.com/journal/archives/00000330.html

I notice one (so far) of my responses got deleted. My response to MPK1967 and his preposterous murder theory got deleted. Hopefully those of you interested were able to screenshot it. I’m clearly striking a nerve that there was an argument prior to the show, CC took whatever meds were shown in his system by the autopsy and tox report, he went back to the hotel, tried to call VK, she did not answer, so he turned the lights off & on, he called or face-timed her, they argued more and he committed suicide. The reason for the delay in calling 911 is that she was on the phone at the time trying to stop him. The autopsy and tox reports are all public, he committed suicide. It wasn’t directly his addiction that killed him. He was tired of the bullshit in his life, and the argument they were having seemed to push him over the edge. While I’m so sorry she had to endure this, spinning it to make it seem like it was drugs if not accurate. The report is accurate and official. Ok AN, go ahead and delete this. Those who wanted the logical version of events can screenshot this and investigate. Chris is owed the truth in death. His legacy should be accurate. He was not ashamed of his battle with depression and anxiety, why would you be as his loving wife and MIL?

    • Heavenly

      Just copy-pasted 🙂 🙂

      • ImSoTired

Thank you! I’m not a member of Lipstick Alley, so anyone who is should feel free to paste it there where it is less likely to get deleted. Maybe TheAffliction can get the guy at Detroit News to find out if this is in fact very close (or exactly) what happened. It would allow so many people to get on with the grieving. RIP Chris Cornell. Your legacy will read how it should!

  • ImSoTired

So, I’ve had a total of 5 deleted messages so far from this comments section. Anyone still have doubts if my entire theory was correct. 5 deleted messages? The truth is the truth. He does not deserve to go out like this. His addiction did not kill him.

  • ImSoTired

And another one deleted, and they are about to delete the one you just took a screenshot of, Heavenly. I’m probably about to get booted off the site, so good luck in finding the higher truth. It looks like the truth I believe is in fact the truth. Your deleting everything but the innocuous comments? It seems I’m so very close or right on the money.

    • Melissa

Mine are being deleted as well. This is the first time that this has happened while I’ve been posting about this.

      • ImSoTired

Because we have our truth. The only time they make this effort is when yiayia really puts her foot in her mouth or the truth get revealed. The K PR machine is in full force right now. Sorry is they are making it tough for you, AN. The truth needs to be told. #truth #nomorebullshit

        • Melissa

Trying to stop his fans from having a conversation about this is only going to fuel the fire. #nomorebullshit. I would think if AN was a fan of his they wouldn’t let this happen. Maybe they are being threatened? Just a thought.

          • ImSoTired

I would bet any money on it that the K brigade is on ANs case (sorry AN, but someone needs to see the facts so they know what to question. Freedom of speech). Luckily I currently have very little money, so threatening me with a lawsuit is of little consequence. I wouldn’t mind going to court and telling a judge how I know what I know. As a matter of fact, I welcome it. A day in the pokie, released on bail, borrow money for attorney, go to court, and the truth will have to come out there via an oath.

          • Melissa

if AN is under pressure to monitor what we are saying maybe we are on the wrong site. Any ideas where we could go to further this discussion without fear of censorship?

          • ImSoTired

The only place is Lipstick Alley. They have a several hundred page (several thousand posts) dialogue about theories. It seems like they are so overwhelmed with the # of people and posts that it’s taking them forever to accept new members. If they were able to stand up here, it’s a more seamless experience. But I would suggest Lipstick Alley for non-censorship – all the way! Truthfully, I just want these bs-spinning alternate facts to stop. Chris went out the way he chose to do. He admitted to having issues with depression and anxiety and even wrote extensively about it. Why can’t the K’s just at least have enough ‘humanness’ in them to let the truth be known and allow Chris the legacy he has EARNED?! Chris deserves more for the time and soul he put into writing and performing. No one should be able to take his story away from him. I cannot think of anything more cruel or insulting. Ready for the delete button now… *grabs screenshot before this post is deleted*

          • Melissa

I agree. This is absolutely crazy. My deleted comment had to do with FaceTime. Maybe someone actually saw what he was doing in that room but they weren’t IN the room with him.

          • ImSoTired

Yes, it is my understanding that there was a phone call (maybe face-time, but that’s not the impression I got) involved at the time he took his life. The thought of that hurts my stomach, no matter who it is. Still, it is his legacy, not anyone else’s. He earned the right to tell his own story, not have it twisted to fit a not-my-fault dialogue.

          • Melissa

Yes. I keep wondering why things happened so quickly (in my mind at least). The cremation took place 3 days later? It seemed like someone must have actually seen what happened so there was no need for further investigation or questioning.

          • ImSoTired

Bingo. I’m a little shocked at how every post that mentions he was on the phone (or face-time) with her at the time gets deleted by AN. They just deleted my post about stepping back while they delete all the relevant and informative posts. The truth has clearly been discovered if they are being forced to scrub every post that has this kind of info. Anyway, doubt you’ll see much of this post since they’ll be deleting it any time now, so I’m off in knowledge that my thoughts of the events of the evening have been confirmed. I guess I should say thank you for at least allowing me to know the truth. I implore you again to please allow Chris dictate his own legacy.

          • Melissa

I just went back and looked at Lipstick Alley. Looks like they are on to things as well. I guess AN isn’t open to any questions about this at this point and I’m going to assume that they are being controlled by the K clan and helping them spin the story. Time will out the truth no matter what they do. He has fans that will not allow the manipulation of HIS story.

          • ImSoTired

That’s absolutely right, they are being told what posts need to be deleted. We clearly spelled it out and all those posts are getting deleted one by one. I’m up to 7 deleted posts now, and they all concluded the same thing. Nothing like having the truth told by their deletions of the posts that were accurate. Thanks to whoever is deleting those specific ones. I think we have our truth. Chris already told his real story in his own words. It’s disgusting that people who claim to love him would promote a different story. That is basically spitting on his grave.

          • Melissa

Exactly. I think if everyone remains silent for a bit and doesn’t drive anymore traffic to this site maybe the tide will turn.

          • ImSoTired

Well, I finally got on Lipstick Alley, so I’m moving my comments over where they won’t get deleted by worried story-twisters. I encourage you to do the same! Sorry again to AN for bringing heat your way. I believe what I’m saying to be the truth, and hopefully the world will eventually get to hear the real, full story. It’s Chris’ legacy, not theirs. Chris gets to tell his story his way.

          • Melissa

I must have touched a nerve with my deleted comment.

  • Melissa

And another one deleted. AN, if you don’t want his fans to have an open conversation why not just close the comments?

    • ImSoTired

It’s almost unnerving how close this version of events must be. I think I’m gonna take a break and let them delete the rest of my comments (other than my “I agree” ones). I didn’t realize how close I was. I need a breather from all this. It’s a bit overwhelming.

  • ImSoTired

Looks like we have the truth. Wow. Poor Chris.

  • Truth

Clearly they have to “pimp out” the children because none of these loonies can support themselves. Meanwhile, Chris was actively fighting and helping other children in this situation called, human tracking. Disgusting, they are the lowest form of human. Side Show act at it’s finest.

  • Melissa

    Ibttimes.com:
“He had wonderful words for Chris’ kids, as did each and every one who spoke. Those kids have such a fantastic support system of “uncles,'” Brett Buchanan, a funeral attendee and owner of, Alternative Nation wrote. “He told them how someday when they are a bit older he will tell them some of “those stories.'”

  • ImSoTired

May as well not bother posting on AN, everyone. They are monitoring it closely for anything that hits on the truth with details. Move along to another site where they haven’t been bought and paid for, or threatened.

He was trapped in a Greek rusty cage.

As somebody who has read all of Sherlock Holmes more than a few times, I have a theory based on inductive reasoning. Chris’s wife and the bodyguard who ‘discovered’ him have displayed aberrant behaviour. Just listen to what has gone down. Chris’s wife is on the phone with him [no one can corroborate what they talked about] and he sounds ‘off,’ in her words. She calls the bodyguard, who breaks down Cornell’s hotel room door and finds him.

The wife’s phone call w/Cornell gives her an alibi. For what? Effed if I know. But the day of his death, a matter of a few hours later, her story got just as much coverage as her husband’s death. Why is it imperative, when you have lost your soul mate and all the crap she’s vomited up in treacly, People magazine-esque shards of crocodile grief, that you hammer home on global media what you were doing at the time of your spouse’s death? Why is it important to tell everyone the exact same story? Repeatedly. Over and over and over and over. Think of other deaths of spouses. This isn’t typical behaviour.

This is where my suspicions begin and end. The they are suspicions. And that’s just my 2 centimes.
