Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni reacted to her father posthumously losing the Best Rock Performance Grammy to Leonard Cohen.

“So proud to be at the Grammys with my beautiful mom and sister to support and honor our dad who was nominated for The Promise. This Humanitarian project meant so much to him, and I really admire how hard he worked on this song and cause. There are no words to express how much I love and miss you daddy. You won in my heart. #keepthepromise.”

Toni also recently wrote about seeing Fleetwood Mac live, “Had the pleasure of seeing Fleetwood Mac perform live. They were the first ever band to be Musicares’ person of the year! They were so amazing and Stevie said the most beautiful words. It was a great experience.”

Toni Cornell attended the Grammys on Sunday with her sister Lily and mother Vicky. The Best Rock Performance category was not televised, but Chris Cornell was mentioned during the In Memoriam segment of the broadcast, and there was a song about the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline performed after the tribute segment.

Cornell won two Grammys with Soundgarden in 1995. Soundgarden won Best Metal Performance with “Spoonman” and Best Hard Rock Performance for “Black Hole Sun.”
