Courtney Love discussed Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell during an interview with NatGeo TV, and revealed why she found him ‘gorgeous.’ She also discussed drugs being prevalent in the Seattle music scene.
“The reason there was a lot of music coming out the Pacific Northwest, Seattle in particular, was a lot of drugs, a lot of free rent, cheap rent, a lot of garages. When you’re young, an abundance of drugs is certainly not something I’d recommend to anybody else, but it’s like swinging London in the 60’s, and everyone had to try their LSD and get their freak on.”
She added, “The big band that really started it was Soundgarden. I think everyone of a certain age and demographic remembers opening up Your Flesh Fancy, and seeing this picture of Chris Cornell and his Adonis 8-pack body with a microphone wire wrapped around him. He looked really gorgeous, but Soundgarden also happened to be really good. They were a really integral and important band to Seattle.”
Courtney Love discussed her daughter Frances Bean Cobain being friends with kids of famous people who request dick pictures on Anna Faris’ podcast. Love said Frances herself does not request dick pictures.
“I know of girls that demand dick pictures. I have a 23-year old daughter, and she has friends, she is in no way one of them, but she has friends, and she is tied in to the whole community of ‘kids of,’ kids of movie stars, kids of power brokers etc. Those kids, they’re dirty, they’re dirty kids.”
“I don’t understand it.”
She also discussed once having sex with a man who had ‘old balls.’
“I did once, I didn’t date, but I did the other thing [with], our code name for him is ‘old balls.'”
She added, “The old cheerios smell is what killed it. The old balls smell, not a good deal, not a good look.”
