Dave Grohl is directing a TV adaptation of From Cradle to Stage as a TV series for Paramount+, based on the book written by his mother, Virginia Hanlon Grohl.

The six-part, unscripted series — which will premiere on the Paramount+ streaming service — is described as a “dynamic personal exploration of the special relationship between successful musicians and their moms.”

“Each episode features a famous performer and their mom as well as Dave and Virginia,” a press release says.

From Cradle to Stage the book was first released in 2017. It consists of Virginia interviewing the moms of musicians including Beastie Boys‘ Mike D, R.E.M.‘s Michael Stipe, the HAIM sisters, Amy Winehouse, Dr. Dre and Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine.

Beavis and Butt-head are also making a new movie for Paramount+, the followup to 1996’s Beavis and Butt-head Do America. Trevor Noah is adding a weekly series to his Daily Show plate, and Inside Amy Schumer is returning for the first time in 6 years as well.

The Weekly Show with Trevor Noah (w/t), Untitled Beavis & Butt-head Movie and the Inside Amy Schumer specials are part of the ViacomCBS comedy division, which also includes Reno 911!, The Hunt for QAnon and a Workaholics movie. Paramount+ is set to launch March 4.
