Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently was interviewed by Queens of the Stone Age frontman and Grohl’s fellow Them Crooked Vultures bandmate, and Queens of the Stone Age frontman, Josh Homme on his Alligator Hour Apple Music podcast recently. During the show Grohl reacted to an off-color Josh Homme remark. Grohl recently revealed how a bandmate was ‘strung out’ on drugs. Alternative Nation transcribed Grohl and Homme’s comments
Josh Homme: Welcome Dave
Dave Grohl: Thanks Josh, you have a radio show!
Josh Homme: I know, it’s weird right?
Dave Grohl: Yeah it is.
Josh Homme: [awkward silence] and we’re taking a break! It’s weird but it’s also kind of weird that it’s also the sixty-ninth edition.
Dave Grohl: [in shock] You’ve done that many of them?!
Josh Homme: No, I think it’s sixty-six but I just wanted to say sixty-nine, I don’t care. You know what’s better than sixty-nine Dave?
Dave Grohl: What?
Josh Homme: Sixty-eight. That’s where you blow me and I owe you one!
[Grohl and Homme laugh]
Josh Homme: Why don’t we start with some music, we’ll talk in a second, you play something nice.
Dave Grohl: I would like to play one of my favorite songs.
Josh Homme: Really? Hey here’s Queens of the Stone Age!
Dave Grohl: No here’s Them Crooked Vultures, come on.
He then played Nomeansno, one of the ‘greatest bands’ he’s ever seen in his life. The song he played was “Catching Up.”
