Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder said President Donald Trump has ‘green disease’ at the band’s show in Krakow, Poland on Wednesday before performing the song of the same name. Read part of the show recap below posted by Sea via John from the PearlJam.com forums:

Setlist:
01. Of The Girl
02. Present Tense
03. Last Exit
04. Why Go
05. Do The Evolution
(Stone starts to play In Hiding but Ed stops him so he can talk to the audience and sip some wine. Ed toast the audience and talks about the first time they played in Poland at Warsaw. He lists the other cities they played and this being the first time in Kraków. Ed notes that Kraków is considered the intellectual and cultural center of the country)
06. In Hiding
07. Other Side
(Ed has a spot light shine on two young women. One has Green and the other has Disease written on their forehead. Ed likes it because it looks like they are thinking it. “This song was written when Donald Trump was just an asshole. Now that he has an important job you would think he would try to be better but he just seems to be getting worse. That’s okay because it is making us stronger…)
08. Green Disease
(You have a great saying here, jakoś to będzie. I think I understand what it means and it is sort of what I was trying to say with this song)
09. I Am Mine
10. Even Flow
11. Garden
12. Severed Hand
13. Not For You / Modern Girl-(Sleater Kinney) 1 minute tag music and lyric (Ed starts off singing easy stuff for the crowd to sing back. Things get more complex and silly until he is staccato whistling which the crowd tries to duplicate)

14. You Are
15. Given To Fly
(This is for all the people in robes)
16. Mind Your Manners
(The video screen shows the Strajk Kobiet logo (silhouette of woman’s head in profile with red lighting bolt laid over it) and Ed says I am singing for strong and powerful women) http://strajkkobiet.eu/

17. Lightning Bolt (Jill gets a shout out at the top of the instrumental outro)
18. Porch

Encore Break One
19. Just Breathe
20. All Or None
21. Footsteps (Ed dedicates the song to a longtime fan-missed the name)
22. Once
23. Whipping
(“Some people say that maybe the people on stage or even the people in the audience shouldn’t show any support or wave a flag (holds up pride flag). He talks about how things in the US are deteriorating and he talks about some alarming laws that are being passed in Poland currently that make it more difficult to protest. He speaks passionately about continuing to protest and not surrendering freedoms. All said over Wasted Reprise)
24. Wasted Reprise
25. Better Man / Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling) 50 sec tag

Encore Break 2

26. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town (played to the audience behind the stage)

28. Alive
29. Fuckin’ Up-(Young)
30. Yellow Ledbetter

I’m English so can’t really say anything about America’s politics but donald trump really don’t seem that bad compared to Obama

    • swcheetah

You obviously don’t know much about American politics if you believe that.

      • Seattlesound21

I did say I can’t really judge as I’m not in usa but From an outside view trump really don’t seem that bad that’s not to say I like him but there are far worse world leaders out there

        • swcheetah

Who is worse? Who has been worse for the USA? Trump is profiting of being in that position. He did not divest from his businesses. He colluded with Russian Oligarchs to interrupt our election process. It’s a pure kleptocracy as they cut social programs and give large tax breaks to the wealthy. Only the 1% should like him, the rest are dumb or asleep.

        • Corndog

Yes there are far worse out there. Trump likes to meet them and tell them what stand up guys he thinks they are, no matter how many of their own people they have starved and killed that particular week. Long standing allies though, he’ll shit all over them.

        • makingconnections

That is setting the bar pretty low…there are worse leaders. There will always be worse leaders–that doesn’t mean you accept an inept and cruel leader who’s changing the face of the US because there are worse.
Did you know that Putin, Russia’s leader has murdered his enemies in many different ways, even if they’re living in foreign countries he manages to have them poisoned. That’s who President Trump wants to be friendly with on your behalf.

          • Kay B

I believe there has been some recent findings that Russia meddled in the US elections to help get Trump in. At first it was just a hunch but now they have evidence. So the people that voted for Trump (my mother) are as good as Putin or at least think the same.

          • makingconnections

My mother was all for Trump because of her Florida friends influence. She knows nothing of politics but jumps on just to be an idiot. Now she pretends she was never for him at all.

I wonder if his cult-like followers will ever admit to what a dog he is?

          • Kay B

I actually think his sheep, especially women will continue to bow to him. My mother was such a strong woman back when my half-sister was born (1972). She took my sister and herself away from a cheating drunk and went to nursing school to provide for her. And then thankfully met my dad who treated her well. But she became this ultra right winged woman the past few decades thinking women should stay in the kitchen and if they do work, should never make as much as a man. Women bow to men and that is how it is. My father never had those views and even though he was conservative himself, she was way more right than he was. I don’t understand why she thinks women just need to shut up and be slaves to men. I think her being ultra religious doesn’t help either.

          • makingconnections

Religious Fundamentalism is not helpful to our communities in general in my opinion…and being a fallen-away Catholic, I have watched the people change through the years. There was a time when good things were happening there, social justice, sponsoring refugees from the Balkans…all sorts of meaningful work and now it’s gone backwards. Sometimes it seems a group gets together as says: “Let’s all agree to have the same allusion” and they have the same values, stick together, even when it means being a followers of an immoral leader. We are strange creatures, us humans. I think many people like your Mom feel safe in their little box with someone telling them what to think. That’s how I see it anyway. I have an image in my mind of your Dad being a pretty decent guy!

        • Olga Stewart

I have a problem with bad leaders. Whether they are worse or not is beside the point. The fact that they are bad is what is both most important and disturbing.

I think anyone with a concern for humanity, society, and the world would probably have the same concern.

How can we live in a decent, safe, caring world if the people who lead us neither exhibit positive qualities nor even care or know to do so? To add to that, how can we live in this world when the people who lead us won’t even try to work on or create things that would make things both better and easier for us?

    • Kay B

Both are pretty bad. Trump is just a bit more of an idiot. Feel the Bern….2020!

  • Courtney Panzer

What an idiot Vedder has become. Most people at a concert don’t want to be lectured to by a musician about politics. Especially a musician with millions who is out of touch with the real life challenges the rest of us face every day raising families.

    • swcheetah

This is cognitive dissonance! Vedder has the values of the working people and the neon orange idiot does not. The only supporters for Trump are undereducated and don’t understand the issues. —It’s not your business how much money he has. Last year, Trump made 40 million off his DC hotel tho.

  • Gary Reilly

To listen to some people you’d think Trump is the second coming of the Antichrist. They should go live in North Korea, Iran or similar for a while to see what a dictatorship is really like.

    • makingconnections

OMG, I didn’t know the Antichrist has come!

      • Gary Reilly

I’m throwing some hyperbole in there. The Trump effect, you know 🙂

        • makingconnections

          Oh, I see.

If there were such a force, I’d say he or she has a grip on America at the moment.

–and pretty ridiculous statement, that people whose ancestors have worked hard to make this a democracy should go to a country led by a mad dictator if they don’t like their situation….truly ignorant.

  • BubbaClinton

Shut up and sing and strum you liberal meat puppet Edward Led Vedder.

    • swcheetah

How old are you? When was the last time you saw daylight?

      • Olga Stewart

This is the comment of the day. Ha ha!

  • MWPP294

And Pearl Jam has becoming the whittest rock band with whittest music fans ever…

Real minorites and real liberals couldn’t give two shits about these scam artists.

    • makingconnections

Now that is really a cheesy comment. Make divisions I guess is your effort, even if they make no sense at all.

  • cmlukey

Stay in Poland, dipsh$t. AN swirling the drain if this is considered “news”.
