Former Queens of the Stone Age and Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts drummer Joey Castillo drummed for Nine Inch Nails during their appearance on Showtime’s Twin Peaks on Sunday. NIN performed “She’s Gone Away” at the Roadhouse in the episode.

Castillo wrote on Instagram, “Had a Great time shooting Last nights Episode of The New ‘Twin Peaks’ @twinpeaks playing some Drums with the One and Only NIN!!! @nineinchnails on The Roadhouse stage!!! Thanks to Trent @treznor and the Rest of the Band for having me!???#twinpeaks#NIN#KEEPITDARK#QDRUMS.”

When a fan asked if he was joining the band as a permanent live member, Castillo said no.

“No just helped out with the episode… @qsaep.”

Trent Reznor shared the following in a Nine Inch Nails e-mail earlier this month:

QUESTION: FINALLY, DID YOU KNOW THERE’S A NEW TOP-SECRET NINE INCH NAILS EP THAT WILL BE RELEASED BEFORE THE FIRST SHOWS WE DO THIS SUMMER? DID YOU KNOW NOT THE ACTUAL EVENTS WAS THE FIRST PART OF A TRILOGY OF RELATED EPS THAT WILL BE RELEASED ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS APART? NOW YOU DO.

MORE INFORMATION ON THIS SHORTLY…

THANK YOU.
