Detroit Free Press recently reported on Greta Van Fleet and The Ranconteurs playing at Woodstock’s 50th anniversary show this summer. Both bands are from Michigan, and The Ranconteurs feature Jack White. Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant will also perform at Woodstock, but unfortunately not on the same day as Greta Van Fleet.
“Woodstock’s 50th anniversary festival will include some Detroit flavor. The Raconteurs — featuring Jack White, Brendan Benson, Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence — will play the festival’s opening night on Aug. 16, one of the group’s first U.S. appearances in eight years.”
The article later states, “Also on the Woodstock 50 bill is hard-rock quartet Greta Van Fleet, playing the fest’s second night, on Aug. 17. The young group has already become a veteran of festival stages, with appearances at Coachella and Lollapalooza, and other fest appearances this summer in Europe and North America.”
