Founding Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic retweeted Alternative Nation’s story yesterday about Dave Grohl pondering if it would be possible for Nirvana to stage more reunion performances featuring the band’s surviving members like they did in New York in April 2014 at Barclays Center and Saint Vitus Bar to celebrate their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Grohl recently told the Times, “I got together with my old bandmates, Krist [Novoselic] and Pat [Smear, now with Foo Fighters], and guests including Joan Jett and Lorde, and we played those songs again — it sounded just like it did, but of course with one thing missing. We hadn’t played a Nirvana set since Kurt died. Could we do that again? I don’t know.”

Novoselic’s retweet of the story led to many responses from fans on Twitter, and Novoselic liked a tweet from a fan suggesting a lineup they’d like to see perform together. sgofuentes tweeted, “With Chad Channing in drums and Dave Grohl on guitar and vocals, Novoselic and Smear too of course.”
