Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page’s ongoing battle with neighbor Robbie Williams over Williams’ home renovations plans continues, as a full letter Page wrote has reportedly leaked.

“If they (Williams, and his wife) are now agreeing to a meeting, they need to get in contact, as neighbors, so that discussions can take place as they should have done a long time ago.

I did not accuse Robbie of playing loud music by Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple to annoy him — and of dressing in a blond wig.

The reality is, no such accusation has been made. This was much publicised at the time but does not have any basis in truth. I never accused Robbie as to his personal behaviour. I would like to meet to take Robbie around the house to make him aware of what is at stake.

My goal is to protect a Grade I listed building, with unique interiors which are in jeopardy. It is vital a meeting should take place.”

Independent wrote about the battle, “Sadly, these neighbours appear to have nothing in common, musically or aesthetically, making the chances of a civilised rapprochement unlikely. Jimmy says he is still waiting (after all these years) for a letter from Robbie to arrange a meeting. As they live within 50 yards of each other, would it not have been easier to wander around (leaving the guitar at home) with a bottle of wine or a vegan beverage? But rockstars always employ staff, so it is through lawyers that this interminable battle has been conducted.

The local council finally approved plans for the Williams’ extension in December, but placed conditions on the construction, imposing financial penalties if Tower House was damaged. Page has maintained throughout that his is a house of national heritage status and would be irreparably damaged by any building work. He wants Williams to come and visit, and see Burges’s beautiful tiles for himself, but these requests are issued in the form of pleas to the media. Perhaps a pot of tea and a quiet grovel might yield a better result.”
