UFC fighter Cat Zingano was recently filmed doing pushups in front of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan. She then gets up, flips him off, and hugs him.

She tweeted, “The last ‘anytime pushups’ complete! Can’t say I’m happy about the doing them on the floor of a UFC or my attire (heels, leather pants, the girls out…) but being out of Maynard’s mercy is a damn relief. Expect redemption, that’s all I have to say @mjkeenan @puscifer @ufc #dick.”

Maynard James Keenan reacted earlier this month to the suggestion of himself being replaced as Tool’s lead singer due to tension with bandmates in a tweet, and he appeared to shoot it down.

A fan said, “Maybe it’s time for Adam, Justin, and Danny to find themselves a new front man. We all know that insufferable narcissistic asshats are a dime a dozen in the industry.”

Keenan responded, “Not a very good listener.”

Maynard James Keenan also recently shot down Tool bandmate Danny Carey’s recent claim that the band’s new album will be released in April.

Asked by a fan on Twitter if it’s true that Tool’s new record will be released in two months, Maynard responded: “No.”

Keenan suggested a mid-May to July release instead.

Tool fans were ecstatic a few weeks ago when Danny Carey said the band expected to release their new album in mid-April, and the month may already be changing. A fan named Andrew posted on Facebook that he saw Carey live, and overheard him saying the album could come out in May or April.

“Dropped by The Baked Potato tonight to catch Danny and the Webb All Stars, for their post-NAMM show!! They played a couple great 1.5 hour sets to a bar packed with 60-70 people, and it was so cool to see Danny branch out and put his skills to another genre of music.

Between sets Danny and the band were chatting with the crowd out back, so I finally got to meet him! I overheard him talking with another couple about the album date, he also said to them, ‘April, maybe May.'”

At the NAMM show in Anaheim, Tool drummer Danny Carey said that the band’s new album will be released in mid-April.

He said, “It’s coming out in mid-April. That’s the plan anyways.”
