A fan recently tweeted Maynard James Keenan requesting that Tool tour Australia. The hottest touring time of the year for Australia is the early part of the year, and unfortunately for Tool fans, Keenan said an Australian tour is not in the works for early 2019.

The fan asked, “How about bringing TOOL to Australia for a tour? It’s only been 5 long years.”

Remember, TOOL do have fans in the Southern Hemisphere.”

Keenan rejected the idea by responding, “Currently busy.” He later deleted the tweet. Keenan is currently in Europe wrapping up A Perfect Circle’s Eat the Elephant tour. He and Tool are also close to completing their new album, with a new report stating that Maynard James Keenan has recorded vocals for the album after the band’s webmaster Blair reported that he heard ‘Track 3’ from the album in Danny Carey’s Porsche. Tool are set to release their new album in 2019, and will play North American festivals in the late spring with bands like Foo Fighters and System of a Down. They’ll then head over to Europe for the summer, and play festivals with bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Alice In Chains.

Tool last toured in Australia from April to May 2013, with 8 shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland.
