Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses & Social Distortion Members Debut Supergroup

PearlJamOnline reports Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready received the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for the support he has always given to MusiCares in a special evening organized by Amazon Music on Thursday night in Seattle at the Showbox.

The concert began with a performance by some Stooges classics played by Mark Arm (Mudhoney), Duff McKagan (Guns N ‘Roses), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees) and Mike McCready himself. The show continued with two UFO covers played by friends of McCready such as Kim Virant, Chris and Rick Friel, and a set of songs featuring guests like Kim Virant, Nancy Wilson (Heart), Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer Red Hot Chili Peppers. After Joel McHale gave the award to McCready, two songs by Cheap Trick were played with the voice of the legendary Rockford band Robin Zander.
