Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard discussed the band’s upcoming show at Wrigley Field in the latest issue of Illinois Entertainer.

“The Chicago show is coming and we are already beginning to think about it. We really want to make it a special experience. Ed’s been putting a lot of thought into it and I think it’s going to be a great night. It’s a dream of his to play Wrigley Field and we’re excited about following him in there. He’s had this in his head for awhile. It’s taken us some time to figure out how to do it, but we’re real excited.”

Pearl Jam will perform to a sold out crowd at Wrigley Field on July 19th.

Hopefully they play some new songs like “Sirens” & “Mind Your Manners”…
They played “Habit” “Lukin’ and “I Got ID” @ Soldier Field in 1995

Wrigley would be a perfect place to break out some new tunes; especially if these songs are half as good as what people say.

Very excited to see the setlist, I hope they film it as well. I can’t afford to go to this shoe hahaha.

The amazing thing about the Soldier Field show was that it was broadcast live on the radio for anyone to tape.. Songs like I Got ID, Habit, Lukin, hadn’t even been released yet -Didn’t they play Red Mosquite too?
Obviously this was pre Internet, but stil.
I”m sure they’ll at least play 1 or 2 new songs at Wrigley. They’ve been on a greatest hits tour now for like 4 years. It wouldn’t make sense to waste a night like that on nothing but the back catalog.
By that time we’ll probably have already heard this Mind Your Manners song on the radio, so it would make sense to push the single.
