Page Six reports that “Later . . . With Jools Holland” host and former Squeeze rocker Jools Holland is gearing up for his first live performances in the US in over 20 years.

But he’s hoping he doesn’t run into Dave Grohl while on tour, he says.

It seems that Holland, Grohl and their mutual friend Stella McCartney were out celebrating the 25th anniversary of the BBC Two series, and Holland admits he may have celebrated too much and had “way too much to drink,” while Foo Fighters frontman Grohl managed to stay “beyond impeccably behaved” through the night.

Either way, Holland will play the show “Piano, Vocals and Drum Frenzy at the Blue Note” in New York Feb. 1 through Feb. 4 at the legendary jazz club.

An art collector, he’ll also make the rounds at various auctions. Before all that, we hear Holland will bring over legendary music pals Mavis Staples and José Feliciano to perform in London with Ed Sheeran and Jessie Ware on his annual New Year’s Eve “Hootenanny” for the BBC.
