Late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland’s widow Jamie attended a reunion of the two surviving members of Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts’ Blaster lineup: bassist Tommy Black and drummer Danny Thompson. Thompson quit the Wildabouts in February 2015 and was replaced by Joey Castillo. Guitarist Jeremy Brown died in March 2015 the day before Blaster was released, and was replaced by Nick Maybury in April 2015. Scott Weiland died in December 2015, which ended the band.

Black and Thompson reunited at the Viper Room in Hollywood, and Jamie Weiland was able to snap a photo. You can check out Jamie’s art work on Etsy.

Former Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts bassist Tommy Black was interviewed on a new episode of Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. The episode explores ghosts haunting The Viper Room, where Black has worked for 16 years.  Weiland died on December 3, 2015, while on tour with Black and the Wildabouts.

When asked if he believes in spirits, Black was skeptical, but offered examples of things you ‘can’t ignore’ at the Viper Room.

“I’m not totally totally into that, but there’s definitely things that you can’t ignore that happen here.”

“Downstairs has got a different feeling than upstairs, upstairs has a playful feeling for me. I’ve seen a glass fly from the bar onto a mat. I’ve seen people drop in the same spot 16 or 17 times. When you’re facing the bar, the main bar, 3/4 of the way to the left.

They faint, pass out, or their knees will buckle. You can ask anyone who has ever worked here. It’s not over serving. I would check that area if I were you.”

He was then asked about going to the third floor.

“No, and I was going to say you should check that out.”

“I don’t want to go back there. The place definitely can change you.”
