Slipknot guitarist Jim Root revealed in a new interview that he had a ‘shitty attitude’ in Stone Sour with Corey Taylor prior to his firing, and he appeared to regret the disrespect, as he and Taylor get along very well now. Corey Taylor recently revealed how he could be replaced in Slipknot at some point.

Jim Root told Metal Hammer, “Corey and I are much closer now. It’s the best thing, me leaving Stone Sour. We would have ended up killing each other and driving each other crazy. I can’t spread myself that thin. I needed it, this band needed it and Stone Sour certainly needed it. I just didn’t have the time to commit that I’d have liked. I think they were tired of my shitty attitude, that’s for sure.”

Chris Fehn, who was fired from Slipknot recently, is demand that his lawsuit against Corey Taylor and M. Shawn Crahan move forward after he accused his ex-bandmates of misleading him when it came to their financial arrangements.

The Blast report, “Fehn is requesting a judge deny the motion to dismiss brought by Slipknot’s business manager Robert Shore, which sought to have his case thrown out. Shore recently asked to be dismissed from the case denying he did anything wrong. Fehn accuses Shore of playing a role in screwing him out of profits from Slipknot.”
