The Smashing Pumpkins kicked off their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour on Thursday in Glendale, Arizona featuring original members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin. They covered Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven”, David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”, and the “Baby Mine” from the Disney film Dumbo. There were many costume changes for Billy Corgan, and he didn’t play guitar on several songs, instead moving around the stage with the microphone, and even going onto a platform overlooking bandmates Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha. See the setlist and videos below.

Have they managed to sell most the arena’s out?. I brought tickets to see them in Wembley in October never spent so much on tickets before hope there gonna be worth it

  • Dysnomia

They should not be allowed to ever do Stairway To Heaven again. Or rather William shouldn’t.

Shame what a band that was once all about the music and not image has become.

  • Raj

Looks like the tour is selling well the arena is full so Billy can line his pockets with money!
