Courtney Love joined The Smashing Pumpkins onstage at their 30th anniversary show in New Jersey on Thursday night to perform Hole’s “Celebrity Skin” and “Malibu.” The tracks were co-written by Billy Corgan. Love also performed “Bullet With Butterfly Wings.”
Love and Corgan dated in the early 90’s, and on the night they broke up, she began dating Kurt Cobain. Corgan later helped Love write some songs on Hole’s 1998 album Celebrity Skin, and later on solo material in the 2000’s. Love and Corgan had a falling out in the late 2000’s, reconciling a few years ago.
