Sonic Fuel are just one of those bands that really hit the nail on the head with a sound. Many bands try extremely hard to really fit into their niche or carve out a sound that is hyper-unique. With Sonic Fuel, it just feels so honest. The music that pumps through your speakers when you hear this band is truly something that is a gift and was given from somewhere higher and more unique than most than have come before them.

Sonic Fuel has a big resume to boot with their sheer rocking riffs and great drum patterns that all fit so well with the vocal tones and thumping bass guitar work. Sonic Fuel, as stated above, really do have a sound all to themselves. If anything at all, Sonic Fuel’s newest record (which is self-titled) sounds like a lost Stone Temple Pilots record and that is such a breath of fresh air.

Upon first listen, and yes, I do say first listen as I can’t stop listening to this record, you really get everything that you could want in an alternative band. Here we have all of the ingredients to make such a tasty record and band, then have it all blended up and served to us on a silver platter.

The band is from Knoxville, Tennessee USA, and at times you can hear that twang shine through. The album was also made with some really legendary names such as Will McFarlane (Bonnie Raitt/Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section) Damon Johnson (Alice Cooper, Brother Cane, Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd) and Andy Wood (Rascal Flatts, Sebastian Bach, Suhr Guitars).

The record starts and ends on a high note. Everything in between is just as up to par as the best of the tracks on the record and it’s very hard to pick a favorite track as they all really are neck and neck with one another. Every track that is on this record could be used as a bar fight scene in a hit movie or while you’re driving coast to coast with your best friend in a drop top Corvette going about 110mph on the highway.

This record is just full of gems and the quality is unmatched. One thing is for sure and that’s that this band just knows how to write a hit and how to give out music that could be listened to and loved by many. I think we see this band hit huge fame pretty quickly. This album is just a taste of what they can do, I feel. In my opinion, the best is still yet to come as I know that while this is a five star album that they are more than capable of writing a six star record next.

I really can’t wait to see what they do next and I hope to catch a show sometime soon as they sound like they are just a blast to see live. I really wish Sonic Fuel all the best and everyone needs to jump on their train before the train leaves without us.
