System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian dropped some hints in this interview with Revolver about revisiting the nü-metal scene of the early 2000s next year. He also told Kyle Meredith in a new interview about System of a Down’s future, “As of now, we haven’t talked about anything. We will be making an announcement about something next year that I can’t really tell you about. So there is that. But further than that, I can’t really say.”

System Of A Down is likely to be a part of tour with Korn in 2023

Given the recent social media teases from several of the chart-topping acts that sprang from that scene — including System Of A Down — it would appear that a new nü destination festival will descend upon Las Vegas in May.

Dubbed ‘Sick New World‘, that fest will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 13th, with ticket pre-sales expected to launch this coming Friday, November 11th. The same venue played host to the inaugural emo/pop-punk/metalcore, etc. nostalgia festival, ‘When We Were Young‘ this fall.

While an official announcement is currently pending, numerous bands have shared the teaser for this newly unveiled festival on their social media, among them are:

System Of A Down
Korn
Deftones
Incubus
Evanescence
Chevelle
