Steve Walsh, who served as monitor engineer for Tool a few weeks ago was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer as revealed by the band. At the time of the diagnosis, Steve was on tour. A fundraiser has been created on Go Fund Me for the noble cause.

Tool start a fundraiser for Steve Walsh

The page noted: “Most of you know Steve from the touring world. He’s the first man to lend an extra hand, with a smile on his face! His calm demeanor and professional attitude makes him loved by all of the wonderful bands he worked with over the years. However, we are not his only family.”
He has his wife Chelsea, children Miles and Charlie, and loving sister Amanda and “he is in good hands.” Steve has a battle ahead of him and as noted, he is facing 6-12 months of aggressive, chemo, radiation, and corrective surgery.
The money accumulated from the donation can help pay for meals, travel expenses while he receives treatment at Sloan Kettering in New York, and lighten the load for the entire Walsh Family.
We sent best wishes to Steve Walsh and his family for a speedy recovery of Steve.
