Tool fans were letdown after awful weather led to the Epicenter Festival turning into a disaster a few weeks ago, with Tool’s performance being canceled. It appears that fans are starting to get refunds, according to Tool’s Reddit.

Madnar14 posted, “A few weeks ago I received an e-mail stating that there would possibly a partial refund given what happened Saturday. https://imgur.com/rdgEZST

Well, I deiced today to give Front Gate Tickets a call to see what the status was since there had been no follow up e-mail. I found out that my refund was issued yesterday and he said it should show up within 3-5 business days. It ended up being a 50% refund. Hopefully everyone else can get their refunds as well.”

siberwolf83 commented, “Glad you’re getting yours! Everyone who purchased Saturday tickets should definitely start checking their accounts. I never received any kind of communication from Front Gate directly regarding the refunds (even though I emailed them asking about it), but I just checked my credit account now and it turns out I was issued a refund two days ago for $99.50. Not including service fees, I paid $199.00 for my two Saturday admission tickets. So yup, they are giving out 50% refunds. At least it’s something…”

Madnar14 commented, “Glad you got yours as well! They could have definitely done better with the communication regarding all of this. I’m kinda on the fence on whether or not I’ll be going next year. They have some definite improvements to make.”

siberwolf83 commented, “Unless Tool is invited back to play next year, my likelihood of attending another Epicenter is honestly slim after this experience. The entire parking situation alone was a joke and also dangerous. I really think refunds should be issued for parking passes as well. Especially for those who missed out on Friday because they were waiting in traffic. But yeah, hopefully they’ve learned from their mistakes this year and improvements will be made. Nothing that could have been done about the weather, of course… We just lucked out. :/.”

Maynard James Keenan recently confirmed that the new Tool album will be released on August 30th.
