Tool & Rush Secret Supergroup Finally Revealed

Tool drummer Danny Carey recently stated that he is fond of memories of jamming with two of rock’s most accomplished drummers- Stewart Copeland of The Police as well as the late Neil Peart of Rush, in their super secret private supergroup.

Danny Carey opens up on the jamming experience

During a recent interview with Cleve Scene, Carey revealed that he and Neil Peart would visit Stewart Copeland’s house to do the jamming sessions a decade ago. Here is what he said:

“Me and Neil Peart used to go up to Stewart Copeland’s house to get together for these jams. It was a fantastic time. We did that ten or so years ago and would do it every couple of years. It was a blast. It was a good drummer hang, that’s for sure.”

He recalled in a recent phone interview from an Omaha tour stop. Recently, Maynard James Keenan-fronted band performed at CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE on March 12. It was also noted in another incident how a fan from the Omaha concert spoke about the usage of drugs at the show.

It was revealed that the band prohibits the usage of cell phones or cameras to capture photos, videos, or audio recordings as per their policy. However, a fan disclosed: People were recording the entire time but I didn’t see anyone with more than one poster.” 

Tool recently performed live in concert at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. One of the fans had disclosed how a person in attendance was escorted out of the concert. The fan revealed that a person next to him was escorted out of the concert and he claimed it was only two minutes into the first song of the concert.
