Members of Foo Fighters, Rage Against The Machine, and Jane’s Addiction have paid tribute to Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, who died at the age of 54 on Friday.

Foo Fighters tweeted, “Vinnie…..to the man with the slickest kicks and the best vibe ALWAYS. You inspired us all, not only with your music, but with your love and hospitality. You were one in a million, and will be missed…”

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello posted on Instagram, “RIP #VinniePaul. Great drummer & rock n roll dude who was always so gracious and welcoming whenever any band passed through Texas. Get to jammin’ with your bro Dimebag, man. You will be missed, metal brother.”

Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro tweeted, “Super sad to learn of the passing of my pal vinniepaul3 #pantera #damageplan – Say hello to your brother, man! #RIP.”

Jane’s Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins tweeted, “Love you Vinnie Paul-miss you already-I’m going to play drums all night-it will make me feel better & closer to VP.”
