Tool guitarist Adam Jones recently shared photos of the ‘epic gift’ he got from producer Joe Barresi. He wrote on Instagram, “My EPIC gift ? from @eviljoebarresi ? A custom made #SilverBurst #CigFiddle aka #CigarBoxGuitar ??made by @barattoguitars ~ thanx Matty ??.”
Maynard James Keenan has offered a huge update on Tool’s new album on his Twitter page. Keenan reiterated that he did his scratch vocals awhile ago. Adam Jones indicated that this was done in March when Keenan had a break from A Perfect Circle for a few weeks.
While Tool won’t have their new album out by the end of 2018, he expects the new album to come out in 2019. He said Adam Jones is ‘deep in guitars now’ and the he will record his final vocals after the guitars are done.

This led to speculation from Tool fans on their Reddit, as Jones has been recording his guitar parts for Tool’s new album, with Maynard James Keenan then set to record his vocals to complete the record for a projected 2019 release.
