Tool guitarist Adam Jones previously announced that the band would begin recording their new album with frontman Maynard James Keenan in April, but he has now edited his Instagram post to state that recording will begin in March.

“Huge fun & honor performing all the new tunes for Guinea pigs Sebastian & #KingBuzz b4 the recording starts in March. Still instrumentals with Mjk in town working on killer lyrics.”

A Perfect Circle are releasing their new album Eat the Elephant on April 20th, and with Tool recording in the spring it appears the band will release their new album sometime in 2018. If you thought that two albums with two bands was prolific for Maynard James Keenan, the singer is also working on a new Puscifer album.

Puscifer posted on Instagram, “And on to @puscifer @matmitchell @carinaround @mattmcjunkins @jefffriedl #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking #eattheelephant #lifeistooshort #createsomethingwitheverybreathyoudraw.”

Puscifer’s last studio album was 2015’s Money Shot, A Perfect Circle’s last album was 2004’s Emotive, and Tool’s last album was 2006’s 10,000 Days.

If Keenan manages to release new Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer in 2018, could 2018 forever be known as The Year of Maynard? Time will tell, it is truly an exciting time to be a fan after years of trolling!
