Chris Cornell’s brother Peter has posted the following:
“Traveling with my Brother on the last leg of his journey. We’re leaving Detroit. I’m bringing him home. My heart is shattered.”
Cornell’s mother in law Toni Karayiannis, has been sharing several tributes and messages from fans on Twitter regarding how the prescription drug Ativan may have played a role in the Soundgarden frontman’s death. She also linked to an Alternative Nation article where Dr. Drew discusses why Cornell never should have been taking Ativan.
She also tweeted, “My pain is unbearable bec as I always said he was a son 2me! Call me mom &me my favorite golden child who never disappointed me.”
She later thanked a fan for support, “Thank you for your love to him in this difficult time! The pain is unbearable but the love u have for him makes it a little easier!”
