Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher was hanging out backstage with Foo Fighters before they took to the Pyramid Stage on the Glastonbury festival’s Saturday night, as reported in NME‘s behind-the-scenes interview with the American rock giants.

Speaking to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Gallagher said Dave Grohl had extended an invite to join them during their performance. “He asked me to come on and do a song,” Gallagher said. “I said no, cos I need a bit of rehearsal. I know it’s cool and all that, but I need a rehearsal.”

Gallagher is due to play CalJam festival in San Bernadino, California on October 7. The one-day event was organized by Foo Fighters and will be headlined by the band.

Asked by Lowe if he might do something with the group there, he replied: “I tell you what I wanna do. I wanna do ‘Range Rover Bitch’ that Taylor [Hawkins, drummer] made. That’s the tune.”

Liam Gallagher also said during the interview that the “saddest part” of Oasis‘ split is the fact he and his brother don’t speak any more.

The Manchester Britpop band broke up in 2009 just minutes before they were due to go on stage and headline Paris’ Rock En Seine.

While in the studio with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe, Gallagher spoke about whether Oasis will ever reunite. “We don’t do it for the money,” he said. “We didn’t do Oasis to make money. I did it to make music and get out of Manchester and see what’s out there.

“Me and our kid don’t speak and that’s the saddest thing about it. We’ve got to start becoming brothers and friends again. It don’t matter how many noughts you put on [a cheque].”

Lowe asked if he ever worries that the digs he makes at his brother Noel in interviews and on Twitter could prevent an Oasis reunion. Gallagher replied: “I don’t care about getting Oasis back together. But he prods me and I prod him and I like winding him up. I’m just reminding him that I’m right here cos his head’s up a few people’s arses.”

He continued: “Music’s about having a laugh and life’s about having a laugh. People seem to putting out a tune and taking a cheque and going back to a big house. I like taking the piss out of my brother who thinks his shit don’t stink. I know it’s childish, but I don’t care.”

On their 2015 album Thugs They Look Like Angels, TALIA brought a Grunge sound on standout tracks like “American Bride,” which has a music video with an impressive 50,000 views on YouTube. “American Bride” has a great slick Grunge sound, reminiscent of Nirvana’s Nevermind and Hole’s Celebrity Skin. It sounds like it could have been produced by Butch Vig. The guitar and bass tones in particular have that mix of California beauty and Seattle angst heard on Hole’s “Celebrity Skin.” The vocals are very unique and keep the band sounding fresh.  For anybody bemoaning the death of rock, TALIA show that the fire still burns.

After rocking the Whiskey a Gogo last summer, TALIA are back in California this week to bring down the house. I.M.P. Music PR announced last week that the 90’s inspired Parisian rockers TALIA will be returning to the West Coast for the second year in a row, playing five shows at five venues all over California, from the Bay Area to San Diego. This will be their first US dates since their critically acclaimed performance at the Whisky a Go Go almost a year ago today.

The dates are as follows:
-July 26th Viper Room – LA
-July 29th Winters – Pacifica
-August 3rd The Bancroft – Spring Valley
-August 5th Stork – Oakland (Bay Area)
-August 13th The Holding Company – San Diego
