Queens of the Stone Age Share Massive New Album Update

Lurssen Mastering has shared a new photo of Queens of the Stone Age with the caption: “Something new brewing. Queens Of The Stone Age.”

arthur_lfdr wrote on Instagram that the album is completed and has been mixed.

“An album just got mixed.”

Queens of the Stone Age will release their 7th studio album this summer, with a single release expected soon. The band’s last album was …Like Clockwork.

Josh Homme told News.com.au that Queens of the Stone Age’s new album will not include any guests, which means Dave Grohl will not appear on the album, despite being photographed in the studio with Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes and Homme. It appears now that the duo were just visiting Homme.

The source reports: “Homme didn’t want to give away release details but did confirm there would be a new single before the [Australian] tour [in July].”

“And [he] did reveal one secret. There are no guests on the QOTSA album, which means no cameo from occasional band member and Homme mate Dave Grohl.”

Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails will perform at Riot Fest on September 15-17, 2017 at Douglas Park in Chicago. Check out the lineup below, followed by a Queens of the Stone Age new album update!
