Ben Jaffe has shared a new photo of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain appearing to be in the studio writing a new song. Jaffe said Cobain was ‘on the rewrite.’ Jaffe collaborated with Foo Fighters for their 2014 album and HBO series Sonic Highways.

Jaffe played on “In The Clear” on the album, and was interviewed on episode 6 of the series. Ben discussed his parents’ role in preserving New Orleans jazz, the history of Preservation Hall and Jaffe’s current role as director, operating the hall.

The Business Post reported last year, “The daughter of Kurt Cobain has signed a two-album deal with Columbia Records, and her first album is due soon, The Sunday Business Post can confirm.”

Cobain has teased new song clips on Instagram for well over a year now. When on RuPaul’s podcast recently, she was asked to describe her musical style, and described it as “like if PJ Harvey and Fiona Apple got into a fist fight that was broken up by Dolly Parton and Jeff Buckley is crying in a corner.” When asked if she a record deal, Cobain cryptically said in a non-denial, “I can’t speak of those things at the moment.”
