Green Day Offensively Attack Vice President

It’s no secret that Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong is not a fan of President Donald Trump or Elon Musk, as he has been extremely outspoken against them both over the years.

In the past, Armstrong has changed the lyrics to the Green Day classic “American Idiot” during live shows as a form of protest, altering the line “I’m not a part of a redneck agenda” to either “MAGA agenda” or “Elon agenda.”

Now, during the band’s performance this past Saturday (March 1st) in Melbourne, Australia, Armstrong once again changed the lyrics to “I’m not a part of a MAGA agenda,” but took his comments further, asking the crowd:

“Don’t you want Elon Musk to shut the fuck up? Don’t you want Donald Trump to shut the fuck up?”

Armstrong continued taking swipes against the Trump administration while playing the 2004 track “Jesus of Suburbia,” which saw the frontman change the lyrics to mock Vice President JD Vance.

Instead of singing “Am I r*tarded or am I just overjoyed?”, Armstrong changed the line to “Am I r*tarded or am I just JD Vance?”

During the same song, Green Day also expressed their support for Ukraine, with Armstrong singing: “We are the kids of war and peace/ From Ukraine to the Middle East” instead of the original lyrics of “We are the kids of war and peace/ From Anaheim to the Middle East.”

This past July, Armstrong managed to really infuriate MAGA supporters when, in the middle of Green Day’s show in Washington, DC, he held up a Donald Trump mask with the word “IDIOT” written on his forehead.
