Ozzy Osbourne recently announced that he will not fully retire from music after Black Sabbath’s final concert. Metal Hammer reported that he revealed plans to continue recording new material.

The rock legend shared his thoughts on his future in music and reflected on his long career with Black Sabbath.

He said, “I am very blessed to say my goodbyes with the help of so many amazing musicians and friends. From the late ’60s, we are probably one of the only bands where the original members are still alive and speaking with one another. As my wife says, it’s an invisible bond that can’t be broken.”

The Prince of Darkness further elaborated on his plans to remain active in the music industry. He continued: “I still enjoy doing my own work. I also enjoy singing on other people’s work. For the foreseeable future, I will keep on recording if the projects interest me. It’s very important.”

This announcement came as Osbourne prepares for what many expected to be his final chapter in music. His recent statements suggest a different path forward.

Black Sabbath are set to conclude their live performances with a final concert on July 5th, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. Osbourne’s activities extend beyond music. It has been confirmed that Ozzy and his family will appear as special guests at Comic Con Midlands later that month. This demonstrates their continued engagement with fans through pop culture events.

This diverse approach to his career suggests that Osbourne may be reducing his extensive touring schedule. However, he is still dedicated to engaging with his fans through different platforms and creative projects. His choice to continue recording signifies a notable change from his earlier retirement plans. As a result, fans can look forward to new music from the metal legend in the years to come.
