The final Black Sabbath show, ‘Back To The Beginning’ featured some of the most famous stars from the music industry. The concert featured legendary bands, very popular modern musicians, and many people from the history of Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. However, there was one noticeably absent band, Motley Crue.

Fans have been wondering why these glam metal superstars were missing from the concert. Speculation led to many believing they were, in fact, the band that Sharon Osbourne kicked out. But it seems something else was the reason. Fans asked questions over social media, with one eventually receiving a reply from bassist Nikki Sixx. He wrote,

“We have been having health issues within the band.”

Shortly after this, the musician posted an explanation, stating he’s focused on keeping himself as healthy as possible. He said:

“As some of you know, I take my health extremely seriously. I work hard, and I’m not interested in dying from work and bullshit stress. I work up my blood twice a year, and we’re focused on always evolving health as my goal. Just got back today’s newest results and considering some misadventures in the past, this 66-year-old pirate ship looks ready to go back to sea. I have a wonderful wife, 5 golden children, and a beautiful granddaughter. Do you think any part of my past indulgences is worth destroying the beautiful life I built? Never. This is it. Either get your shit tighter or die a slow death crawl. We all die, some just give up sooner….I’m planning on cracking 100. That will piss off the critics.”

Meanwhile, Tony Iommi recently reflected on Black Sabbath’s “Back To The Beginning” event which marked the original Black Sabbath lineup’s first performance since 2005 and the quartet’s final live appearance.

On the July 8th episode of SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”, Eddie Trunk reflected on the stress leading up to their recent performance, noting that it had been 20 years since they played a big stage with Bill Ward. Despite the uncertainty, he confirmed that everything went well in the end.

He said: “Well, it’s been stressful for the last couple of months, really, thinking about it. And we went into rehearsals a month ago. But you never know until the day. I mean, we hadn’t played on a big stage with Bill for 20 years, so it was wondering what’s gonna happen. But no, it all went fine.”
