When Tool played in San Diego over the weekend, Maynard James Keenan took the chance to respond to fans being offended by the word ‘rape’ being in the lyrics to “Opiate.” Keenan of course was dryly sarcastic as always, discussing the San Francisco feminist vegans and others of “those” were offended by the phrase “rape you.” Quite thoughtfully, he replaced the phrasing with “metaphorically rape you [with a rhino horn].”
