On Monday night at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, A Perfect Circle sang happy birthday to their frontman Maynard James Keenan. Keenan had a hilarious response.

“For my birthday, sometimes when you give somebody a gift, it hurts a little. You’re having to maybe give from a place you don’t necessarily want to be giving from. So for my birthday, you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to. But let the other people partcipate. If you’re going to be a dick, shut up. But, for my birthday, I want you to say, ‘Go Packers!’

After a mixed response to his joke about football, Keenan quipped back to the fans.

“Sometimes I’m funny, sometimes I piss off Broncos fans.”
