Rock legends AC/DC are 50 years into pounding stadiums, but recent footage from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, has fans whispering—“Maybe it’s time to hang up the guitars?” A footage has emerged from the gig which landed the band in the middle of an online debate.

The footage, which has over 107 thousand likes on Tiktok, shows guitarist Angus Young yelling into his microphone while dressed in an unbuttoned white shirt and blue velvet shorts, singing TNT.

Lead singer Brian Johnson then begins to sing, but the flat tone often gets drowned out by the crowd.

Reactions to AC/DC’s continued touring sparked mixed responses on social media. Some fans criticized the band, saying it’s time for them to retire. Others expressed disappointment and changed their minds about attending shows.

One user said, “AC/DC died with Bon Scott idc.” Another said, “I was going to get tickets until I saw this.” A third fan said, “They need to STOP bro.”

A fourth said it was time for the band to “hang it up”.

A fifth user wrote, “I really wanted to see them this year.. now I dont. thank you,”

However, many defended the band, noting their age and praising their effort to still perform, with one user calling them “adorable” and commending them for touring at this stage in their lives.

A fan said, “Do people not realize that they’re a lot older now, so obviously they’re not gonna sound the same.”

Another said, “Why are people hating, they are adorable. i’d go to see them, they are doing so well to be touring at this age.”
