KISS defined several generations of music fans and every single member is loved for good reason. Unfortunately, we have some very concerning news to share as KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is currently on life support, his camp released a statement to Alternative Nation about death rumors.
Things Don’t Look Good For Ace Frehley After Brain Injury
According to a report by TMZ, Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist for KISS, is currently hospitalized and on life support. Sources close to Frehley revealed that the 74-year-old musician suffered a serious brain bleed after falling in his home studio a couple of weeks ago.
The injury forced him to cancel his upcoming tour dates, and his condition has not improved since. He has been on a ventilator for some time, and his family is now considering ending life support, possibly as soon as Thursday evening.
Despite rumors on social media that he has already passed away, sources confirm that Frehley remained on life support as of Thursday afternoon. After his fall, his official Instagram page had posted messages saying he was fine but under doctor’s orders to rest and not travel. A later statement announced that all of his 2025 tour dates were canceled due to ongoing medical issues.
For those who don’t know, Ace Frehley was a founding member of KISS, joining Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss in 1973. Known as “The Spaceman,” he played with the band until 1982 before launching a solo career with his group Frehley’s Comet. He later rejoined KISS for their 1996 reunion tour and stayed until 2002.
Frehley’s legacy includes classic KISS hits like Rock and Roll All Nite, Detroit Rock City, and I Was Made for Lovin’ You. His solo work features fan favorites such as New York Groove and Into the Night.
This is genuinely a very serious situation and fans are fearing the worst, so all we can do is hope for the best despite what’s going on right now. No matter what happens, Frehley will always be remembered as one of the all-time greats and that’s never going to change.
