Ace Frehley’s 2025: Tours, Health Battles, and Creative Moves

In 2025, legendary guitarist Ace Frehley’s year has been marked by creative endeavors and health issues. Early in the year, Frehley continued promoting his 2024 solo album 10,000 Volts, a collection of original rock songs that signaled his return to fresh material. He scheduled multiple U.S. dates, including a notable July 4 concert at the Four Winds New Buffalo in Michigan. The show was expected to be one of the summer’s highlights for classic rock fans.

However, in May, Frehley began canceling performances, citing illness. The cancellations foreshadowed more serious developments later in the year. In September, Frehley suffered a minor fall in his studio and was hospitalized. The incident led doctors to advise against travel, forcing him to withdraw from a scheduled appearance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California.

On October 6, 2025, Frehley’s team released a statement confirming that he had canceled the remainder of his 2025 tour dates due to “ongoing medical issues.” The announcement affected multiple Midwest shows across October and November. Fans expressed disappointment but also support, as Frehley stated he still planned to work on Origins Vol. 3 once his health allowed.

Amid online rumors, radio host Eddie Trunk clarified that he had spoken directly with Frehley and confirmed that while his condition is serious, it did not involve a stroke. Trunk’s comments helped to calm speculation during a period of uncertainty. Fellow musicians and journalists also shared messages of support. Maynard James Keenan of Tool posted, “Godspeed, Ace,” while Mitch Lafon tweeted, “Ace, thank you for the music & memories. God bless.”

Throughout 2025, Frehley’s public presence has diminished, but he’s still vocal online. Despite health setbacks, he’s to inspire fans and peers alike, as shown by Keenan’s post.
